Moving forward, we are making changes to adjust to our new phase of growth and build for durability to ensure that all employees feel confident in their future at Abnormal, and we are committed to remaining as communicative and transparent as possible during this time.

Pros
Individual contributors are overall good people to work with
Cons
Abnormal’s career page links to the Glassdoor reviews and it’s sorted by highest ratings first, which isn’t exactly “intellectually honest” as they claim their company values to be. Back in 2022 they had this huge push for everyone to leave positive reviews so of course, people did. So do yourself a favor, put on your skeptic hat and read the low reviews - or at least the recent reviews. Pay attention to the responses that Abnormal puts on reviews too. It doesn’t even address the issues brought up in the reviews here.
Abnormal Security Response
Thanks so much for leaving an honest review, we truly value your feedback. We are committed to developing a better company-wide listening strategy and optimizing the ways we collect employee feedback so we are better equipped to address these concerns as they arise—this includes reading through each and every review left here on Glassdoor and relaying them to the leadership team. Here are a few areas we are actively working to improve at Abnormal based on this recent feedback: 1. Creating a manager enablement program that addresses feedback we've received org-wide. We’re committed to creating an environment where our employees can thrive, and we know that can’t happen without effective, well-trained managers to guide them. 2. Continuing to establish and improve our performance review cycles to create an open feedback loop for employees, their managers, and their peers. 3. Establish clear career ladders across all teams at Abnormal in order to create more advancement opportunities for current employees. We also have active plans to support this by developing formal training, educational, and development programs. We genuinely appreciate your transparency and insight, and we are working hard to continue meeting the needs of our employees, especially as they shift and grow.

Dec 3, 2022 - Customer Success Manager (CSM) in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Don’t get me wrong - I’m a UCLA graduate who wanted to stick it to the man. This organization is filled with extremely talented, caring, competent people that are driven and supportive. Leadership is firm and has high expectations, but they provide meaningful, reasonable, experienced guidance. This company is not run by chickens with their heads cut off, although they are always on the go. The salary and benefits are strong. Working in the office is option and will always be optional. I like going into the office because I get to hang out with co-workers, which is really weird to say.
Cons
Work life balance and be difficult.

Jul 19, 2022 - Sales Manager in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Where to start.....Great people, so much talent and leadership is so supportive and really know where we want to go as a company. I know its sounds funny but the product actually works!! In sales we have all sold something that we don't believe in, this is not the case here. Culture is so very important and you can see it from the CEO down through the ranks. If you want to be surrounded by great people with a winning attitude come join the Abnormal team.
Cons
Just simple growing pains but for a size of a company this size we are well ahead of where most start ups are. Enablement is amazing and the company really sets you up to win.
