    Cons

I have been working at Absolut Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays well initially, co-workers and residents are wonderful.

    Cons

Often overworked, no yearly raises, huge pay difference between locations for the same exact job (i.e. OP 27/hr vs EA 35/hr), terrible/expensive health insurance, HR department is lazy and doesn't take care of you (only 1HR rep for entire facility with well over 150employees), corporate only cares about making money and not their employees, very high turnover rate in ALL departments (most use this as a starting job and get out shortly after realizing how missed treated you are (most rehab team members stay 1-3yrs max)), must work all holidays with no extra compensation/ incentive (i.e. no time in a half or half day) (must use a personal day and is first come first service, no rotating schedule), therapists are often placed in tough decisions (unethical situations) just because the director wants the minutes/money, patients are treated very poorly here and often neglected leaving extra work for other departments. (very surprised more lawsuits are not filed). NEVER SEND A RELATIVE OR FRIEND HERE FOR CARE!!!!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees needs/concerns and treat them better, in return you'll have a lower turnover rate and better care for patients. This place could be a wonderful place to work once given a much needed facelift... at all locations!

I have been working at Absolut Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Residents are great, staff for the most part are good guys. Except the elite few who kiss butt and do nothing.

    Cons

Pay is low compared to other Ltc/Rehab no growth unless the boss likes you, too much favoritism instead of appreciation of skills.

    Advice to Management

Kick out the old favor seeking management and staff alike. Find someone who actually knows how to assess a patient and keep them in house instead of sending a paper cut to the Er. Pay your employees what they are worth instead of watching every penny that goes into your pocket. ChaChing!

I worked at Absolut Care part-time

    Pros

Basically the only part I liked about this job was how it was only five minutes away from me and the pay was pretty good compared to other nursing home facilities.

    Cons

I would punch out sad everyday. They need to drug test their employees,

    Advice to Management

    Drug test your employees.

I worked at Absolut Care full-time

    Pros

    Making a difference for residents

    Cons

horrible pay, management doesn't care, care more about new employees and paying them more than current employees and keeping them happy, concerned about their image but don't do anything to change it, keep saying that they're improving and big change is coming but it's not- they've been saying that for a while

I have been working at Absolut Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Always shifts to be picked up, overtime and sometimes bonuses if they beg you to come in
Staff look out for each other and become close

    Cons

Don't care at all about their staff.
Management will overwork all the nurses and beg them to work obscene amount of hours but will never work over their shift requirements.
    Very fake with staff.
Aides are awful and treat residents poorly.
Bother you to come in every day you're off.
Upper levels don't have a clue what's going on.
Absolute chaos and no communication or organization.
Management wants to manage via security cameras and only criticize, never recognize or encourage.
Many of those in management are on power trips.
Aren't giving raises to nurses that have been there for years but giving huge bonuses to new staff.

    Advice to Management

Actually start caring about your staff and help us, don't just sit in the office and beg other people to work. Work to retain the staff we have and give raises versus giving huge sign on bonuses to new staff.
