I have been working at Acadia Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Smooth transition, no one lost any jobs or positions! No change in day to day operations of the hospital. Excellent experience.

    Cons

No match on 401k, employee health, dental and vision benefits are kind of expensive (I don't have any more cons but it requires you to type more words)

    Advice to Management

    More opportunities for employee engagement.

I worked at Acadia Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are no good reasons for a person to work at Acadia at least in the recovery division. The other side may be okay. They only care about money. I was told that my job was to sell no matter what was good for the person. They will tell people anything to get them into their higher end programs. They put down their own programs and many employees have an elitist mentality are those that work for some programs are treated way better than ones who work for what they consider "lower end" programs. They hire people with no qualifications for the positions because they are friends of other employees. Very sick system stemming from unhealthy management and only caring about $. Most employees feel stuck and just accept things as they feel powerless to change.

    Cons

See above. Met some nice people but most good quality employees leave if they have any other options. There is no oversight and corporate compliance/hr complaints are made fun of, not taken seriously by some management, and not anonymous in many cases..

    Advice to Management

Get rid of management. They have some good managers in some divisions but very few. Quit tolerating bad behavior by your "higher ups"

I worked at Acadia Healthcare full-time

    Pros

    Great team at clinic site.

    Cons

Poor upper management. Does not recognize most valuable asset of any company - the employees. Does not recognize the value of providing excellence in patient care.

    Advice to Management

Doing the right thing for the right reason produces the right results for all stakeholders of a company.

I have been working at Acadia Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Full benefit package with two personal days per year

    Cons

No computer systems training and the rest of the training is unorganized leaving it very difficult to get one's head wrap around the flow of your job duties and what you should be next.

    Advice to Management

Have workflows for new staff as well as computer systems training

Best people i have worked with. I always had something to do and everyone is there to help eachother. Flexible schedule and great benefits!

    Cons

Work life balance was hard. You want to help the company succeed so you tend to take away from your time to do that.

I have been working at Acadia Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people I work with are great. I enjoy the patients and love what I do that is why I stay. I love my job and making a difference for patients.

    Cons

Always short staffed or when fully staffed and someone calls in your staff gets pulled to other units. High turn over. The upper management think only about money. They could care less about their staff. Safety is an issue because there is none. There are days when there are 1 maybe 2 male mha to help if something goes wrong. Sure managament appears in their suits and fancy shoes or short skirts and stilettos. What a joke. The pay across the board is lacking for the work one does and that's everyone except management. Not enough hiring. Always on hold per corporate. Pay raises are cents if you actually get one.

    Advice to Management

Start treating your staff like humans instead of someone you don't like. Hire more people. Give better pay and raises so maybe staff will stay. Staff up units so patients and staff are safe. Oh and how about acting like you give a darn. and practice what you preach.
