I worked at Acadia Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - You learn A TON about enterprise-level marketing - You get to work with and learn to use a range of marketing tools - You get to learn and test consumer marketing strategies with your set facilities - Your ability to analyze and draw out insights from data will grow

    Cons

    - Zero emotional intelligence amongst the marketing leadership - A cutthroat environment where it's all about out-running the person next to you - People are not valued - Skills that are deemed not valuable by leadership: communication skills, interpersonal skills, relationship building, or any soft skill - Mentoring or coaching here is nonexistent - While you do get to test strategies. .they are typically under the guardrails of what leadership sets for you - Most roles are executional vs. strategic

I worked at Acadia Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Loved my coworkers and found clinic management personally helpful and supportive. There was a lot of freedom with group curriculum.

    Cons

Consistently understaffed, so caseloads are too high (70+) for you to make a difference for your patients and groups are overflowing; up to 35 people in a room the fire department has cleared for 12. Clinic management tries to take care of their people, but is undercut by upper management--who are more concerned with how offices are decorated than retaining staff or creating a safe environment. Almost impossible to remove dangerous patients from the clinic.
