Pros
- You are truly valued as an individual and as an employee - Administration takes care of making sure you are always up to date with your credentials and necessary certifications While there are multiple drives between clients at times, the admin team tries to make sure that you are scheduled with clients who live near each other to alleviate the encumbrance. - A truly proper and ethical company for ABA services
Cons
- Driving to various locations (To be expected- as this is the nature of in-home)

Pros
Responsive management team and wonderful administrative support Quarterly company events to promote team-building Wonderful patients and families Good work/life balance Paid time off Health benefits Therapy materials purchased/provided by company and readily available for use Effort made to keep caseload numbers manageable and to minimize driving between patients Flexible scheduling Fantastic employees (hard working, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable) Great communication between all team members Effort made to find employees alternate hours when last-minute cancellations occur Effort made to pair patients with staff in a manner that maximizes staff strengths (which also supports treatment efficacy)
Cons
Sometimes the amount of driving can be tiring (as is often the case with an in-home service model) Scheduling can sometimes be hectic during transition times (e.g., school term to summer; this is not a con unique to this company)

Thank you so much for your review! Health insurance and PTO is the least we can do to support such an amazing team! We feel that every Employee deserves the best so there's less stress on the part of therapist which translates to a better product for our patients and families.

Pros
*Hourly wage of $18. *Great children and families to work with. *Fellow employees were encouraging *Fun events and parties are planned for the employees several times a year.
Cons
*I was led to believe during the hiring process that I would have full-time hours close to home, but in reality, I was kept at less than 20 hours/week 45 minutes away for weeks. *No compensation for travel costs, though I was verbally led to believe during the hiring process that I would be compensated for my mileage. *Required to sign a non-compete agreement for 2 years after leaving ABH. *My timecard was dishonestly shortened behind my back on two different occasions. *Email communication from the owner of the company was frequently rude. *While I was pregnant, another employee was told in my presence that she was "not allowed" to get pregnant because the company had enough to deal with. *I witnessed a BCBA snatch a preferred toy out of a child's hand and refuse to give it back when the child asked politely. *One of my clients was discharged from services with no warning for being late to sessions. *While pregnant, I was given a deadline to finish some unpaid training for certification that was nearly two months early. Another employee completing the same training at the same time was not given an early deadline.

As your previous employer we value your response. We are disappointed to hear that your experience working with Accelerate Behavioral Health did not meet your expectations. When scheduling a therapist, we ask for their approval before sending them to a session (this is an approval not just for the amount of time spent in session but the distance to and from session). Each therapist confirms their schedule ahead of time and in doing so are in agreement with the hours provided to them. We work very hard to make sure that our employees get the hours they are looking for while respecting their wishes to have as short of a commute as possible. We do not offer compensation for mileage; we do however offer advice to the employee on how to track mileage so that it can be reported by the employee when they complete their yearly taxes. To negate the effects of last-minute cancellations on the part of the patient’s, at the manager’s discretion, we reimburse the therapists for one hour to cover their drive time and gas. In this particular case, the therapist was reimbursed for a total of 11 non-billable hours to cover such cancellations. A non-compete clause is a part of our employee agreement and is a standard practice among the agencies in our field that offer employee positions versus contractor positions. All of our employees are professional and dedicated to the practice of ABA. We are certain that any feeling of disrespect, whether verbal or written, was a misunderstanding. The training mentioned in this review was paid for by Accelerate Behavioral Health, agreed upon by the employee, as long as the modules were completed in a timely manner so that the employee could obtain her RBT credential before the January, 1st 2019 deadline mandated by Florida Medicaid. The same timeline was set for another employee completing the training as well. This would allow for ample time to complete the necessary RBT competency assessment, apply to sit for the RBT examination, and take the RBT exam prior to this deadline. We are also disappointed to hear that you were dissatisfied with how you were treated while you were pregnant. However, we believe we offered you a lot of support during that period including: 3 months of maternity leave Healthcare coverage And baby items that you were in need of (car seat, stroller, and other miscellaneous items) We do appreciate the feedback and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. If you wish to further discuss the points made in your review you may contact us on the office phone line at 407-212-1199.

Pros
Working for Accelerate Behavioral Health has been an absolute dream come true for me. I feel appreciated, respected and cared for unlike any organization I have ever worked for in the past. I absolutely love my work family and couldn't ask for a better team of colleagues to work with on a day-to-day basis. Everyone is genuine, hard working and passionate about the field of ABA. No idea, comment or concern is left unheard by management and everyone builds one another up in some shape or form. For the first time ever I can say that I love going to work everyday. If you are looking for a company where you will feel appreciated, cared for, respected, part of a family and happy to come to work everyday; ABH is just the place!
Cons
I have no cons to list.

Pros
ABH has been a great place to work! The hours are flexible with my school schedule which I really appreciate. The kids are amazing and are the reason I do what I do. My supervisors are awesome too and are always willing to help answer questions. I also appreciate the compensation when a family is late to session.
Cons
There's a lot of driving providing in-home therapy and the tolls can get expensive.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel cared for or supported, as that is the opposite of how we aim to make our employees feel. Actually, every decision that is made is first filtered through the question of, “how will this affect the therapist and the families?”. Lack of full-time hours has been a concern brought to our attention in the past and we have worked to improve this in several ways, the most important of which includes asking potential employees to let us know exactly how many hours per week they are wanting to work in an effort to mitigate any concerns during employment regarding this topic. Unfortunately, things beyond our control sometimes effect this, such as patient or therapist illness, patient or therapist vacation, and patient insurance lapses, to name a few. As you know, in those situations we do everything in our power to coordinate alternative sessions, so the employee is getting as close to their hourly goal as possible. We would love to provide compensation for the drive time to patient sessions, however, with the reimbursement rates in the state of Florida being what they are, we aimed to instead provide our employees with subsidized health insurance, something that had been asked for by employees in the past. We understand that the cost for health insurance can be expensive to some. However, we elected to go with a plan that would cover our employees better during office visits and testing when compared with other plans. This leads to more expensive up-front costs but saves many employees money in the long run. We also contribute to each employee’s health insurance plan monthly to help offset the cost, something we are not required to do. Our plan is also voluntary, so employees are able to go through the Marketplace if their needs are better met with another plan. Additionally, regarding lack of reimbursement for drive time, we discuss this with all employees prior to their start in an effort to be as transparent as possible. No employee is hired without this understanding of what benefits we do and do not provide and being agreed upon by both parties. Thank you again for sharing so that we can improve our practices.
