    Very friendly work environment. Great senior management

    High turnover rate, you could get fired if company foresees any changes in client

    Should reassure workers of work security

    there is good work life balance

    Cons

    Horrible management. Micromanaging. favoritism (everyone here is related). manage by fear mongering and intimidation. Disorganized company, negative and hostile work environment, no teamwork.

    Pros

    [Location, friendly, growing company] Growing pains are experienced when a company is expanding rapidly such as Accelovance. If you are good at what you do, you will find this company will appreciate you as an employee.

    Cons

    [Communication] If you lack communication skills, this place is not for you.

    Executive team must build stronger communication skills among each other and to it's employees.

    Pros

    Better than being unemployed. Just.

    Cons

    This is a failing CRO. Upper management do not listen and are too arrogant to learn. They make awful reactive decisions and there is distinct blame culture and total lack of support and respect for employees. Miserable place to work. Avoid at all costs.

    Advice to Management

    Admit defeat, sell this failing company for whatever you can get and retire to the golf course. In the meantime try and treat people with some semblance of respect and even maybe some appreciation? You do realise that not only prospective employees but also prospective clients look at these reviews?

    Pros

    Flexibility, and good work life balance

    Cons

    Everything else about this company aside from work/life balance is pretty bad. There is very little work, and no repeat business. Management has absolutely no insight into what their staff are/are not doing.

    Advice to Management

    Just because you have people who have been with the company for many years, doesn't mean they know what they are doing.

    Pros

    There are some really good people who worked for company.

    Cons

    It's chaotic. Upper management quick to blame. There's no investigation prior accusation. Passing the buck. Some managers tend to bully employees.

    Advice to Management

    Stop micromanaging!

    Pros

    good variance of team members from new to seasoned. Office space worked well, keeping the group together.

    Cons

    Management did not communicate well, not organized in any area and over delegated to employees.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate More, document what is discussed with employees and get more feedback. Set better expectations instead of reprimanding without guidance when asked.

    Pros

    Growing company with potential for strong growth

    Cons

    Many foundational processes were not established and no CTMS system in place. A bit chaotic with the rapid change of Directors in multiple departments including HR.

    The mission of this company is great HOWEVER....see cons

    Nepotism .... a lot of Nepotism. It is a strange place to work for, you are treated as if you are a target rather than a new employee. The Rockville office (Optimal Research) is ran by the most unkind, unprofessional, unorganized group of people. The office manager is nice however she allows the senior coordinator to call the shots there because they are in a relationship and the senior coordinator, she thinks she can do whatever she wants. She is rude, unprofessional, she has no business acumen and she treats the staff terribly. If shes not happy then she complains to the manager and you could be without a job because of her foolishness. The head MD is allowing most of what happens in this office. The turn over rate is about every 6 months, from front desk people to coordinators to medical assistants. My first week I was scrutinized for wanting to set up my desk properly by the senior coordinator, I felt like a target rather a new employee. I was let go because "i wasn't the right fit"...whatever that means. I am in no way bitter about it just want to save someone else from this awful place. Sadly this company has potential but not with the current staff.

    Advice to Management

    get rid of senior coordinator A MUST!. get organized. be more courteous to your staff. Listen to your staff and not the senior coordinator she running all the good people away.

    Pros

    The people who arrived normal, remain normal -- just stressed out (and waiting); the people who got swept in from that last storm, are just as sick and crazy -- but allowed to get away with it, because it pays more than McDonald's (until they raise the minimum wage). One young mother died of a heart attack from the stress-related, slave-type conditions (45 y/o).

    Cons

    Can't think of any -- the pros are bad enough!!

    Advice to Management

    Sell the company off; give the employees a chance to live/survive.
