Merit-based pay and bonuses. Very good salary and benefits. Excellent work diversity. Excellent culture of valuing all employees

    You really earn that pay

    Advice to Management

Be careful to not let "up or out" force out your top experienced resources. Keep up the good work of looking out for our clients and people

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, hands down! Only reason I've stayed with Accenture for 6+ years is due to the great people I've worked with. Smart, collaborative and down-to-earth. Makes working long hours manageable.

    Cons

Less than optimal work-life balance as you will get your work cut out for you (if you excel in the roles you take). Most of my projects have been short (less than 12 weeks) projects that require significant work hours Monday-Thursday (Friday is work from home, which makes it easier). Also becomes difficult to transition to another "alignment" or "industry" within Accenture once you've excelled in an area (they tend to want to keep you in the same industry - which makes sense from a expertise stand point, but is difficult if you aren't exactly in love with the industry you are aligned to)

    Advice to Management

Recognize strong performers better (especially with pay). Last few years of performance pay have been very underwhelming.

    Pros

Accenture is a great place to work. Opportunities are limitless. Encourages diversity. An inclusive work environment. Excellence in work ethics

    Cons

None really. Sometimes there's not much work/life balance

    Pros

Salary is decent wish it could be better but benefits are worth it. Love my co-workers. Will stay if offered more money.

    Cons

The salary could be better but my Client site is actually wonderful. The travel is horrible due to work site change but that's life.

    Advice to Management

None really. I do believe they work in my benefit and you can not satisfy everyone all the time.

    Pros

If you buy their bull s___, you have a short term job. The disconnect between management and employees can be a positive.

    Cons

Most of their earnings and a large percentage of their employees are in America. But guess where their official headquarters are? ...... Ireland. So they avoid paying their dues to the government that makes it profitable to be in the country (USA). They have no loyalty to employees.

    Advice to Management

Get bent. But put your HQ in America first. Show loyalty to long term employees who were outsourced to you.

You will be forced to travel at times you don't want to

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and salary. Some great folks. You will be thrown in the middle of things from the start, so need to be up for any challenge, need to be willing to learn, not afraid to make mistakes and not afraid to ask for help. You will have access to a lot of information, training, and career development... make sure you take advantage of it.

    Cons

Very political as are most if not all of the big firms. A lot of people are more concerned with getting promoted to the next level over working with their peers in a given project, which is not a good environment for collaboration when things get hectic and deadlines come and go. A lot of people will do anything to save their own behind.

    Advice to Management

It would be a waste of my time to give advice to upper management.
