I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Little need to put in face time in the office since it didn't do you any good
-Overall not to many. Had much more enjoyable experiences at the other consulting firms I worked at

    Cons

-No matter how much they try, almost all Strategy & Operations projects had some sort of tech tie in. The goal for ACN to make money is by selling in their IT consulting services
-Very poor culture. When I was there they cut the seats in the Chicago office so that there wasn't enough seats for individuals to come in and work on a Friday. They asked that everyone worked from home on Friday unless they had a need. Needless to say there was zero office culture
-They paid a high salary to start but compared to other firms gave very small raises

    Advice to Management

-Call a spade a spade and embrace that you're an IT services company. To say you compete with the Big 3, Deloitte, and PWC in strategy consulting is a joke. Own up to what you are and try to excel at it

    Pros

High Compensation, Coworkers are great to get along with.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are great, amazing work-life balance, flexibility, work-from-home opportunities

    Cons

Option to work from home is great in theory (and if that is the point you are at in life...e.g., just started a family), but weakens the company culture. However, I am an internal consultant so maybe in traditional consulting this is less of a prevalent issue.

    Advice to Management

As much as Accenture is all about diversity, you still see the boys club in many sectors of the business which is discouraging.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good benefits, some stability

    Cons

work is different from one project to another. work environment is so political, one year you're working from home 24/7 and another you're flying Mon-through Thursday. This is not for the faint of heart....

    Advice to Management

I know you're trying to establish a uniform work environment standards, but with a size as big as you, its gonna be hard....

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - The People. One of the pillars and core beliefs of Accenture which I fully support
    - The compensation early on
    - The variety of opportunities available
    - Travel perks
    - WFH flexibility in certain situations

    Cons

    - Large, bureaucratic, and slow to change. For example, I've tried transferring practices and it took over a year
-Travel. Monday through Thursday travel takes a wear on you in all aspects (social life, family, sanity, etc.)
    - Linear progression. There is a standard time frame for each level and career progression is somewhat agnostic to talent

    Advice to Management

Focus more attention on formalizing and accelerating the process for internal transfers
