I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing benefits package that includes generous PTO package. Above average Medical, Dental, 401K (match) plans. Amazing opportunities for travel, domestic and int'l.

Exposure to various industries, technology stacks, and vendors can't be matched. Company offer many areas for training and exposure at their Q Center. Company is also eager to enroll employees in training and demo's for key vendors, specifically in Digital space.

Very self starter-make your own path environment. Flexible and autonomous work culture, work from home is frequent.

    Cons

Salaries vary widely and can often times skew low for a Big 4 Consultancy. Salary escalations and yearly bonuses can be below expectations, even when reviews are positive and company goals met.

Cloudy performance review process, often confusing if system & process functions or clout / internal rhetoric determine true promotions and salary increases.

Project leaders can often circumvent expense and reporting standards to appease client wishes, can create annoyances for project staff.

    Advice to Management

Accenture is a fantastic company, moving in the right direction with it's people, processes, and industry exposure, specifically in regards to digital. It's a place for both entry level and experienced hires to thrive, specifically if you are a fan of travel, flexibility, and dynamic work settings.

More structure around the promotion process (called leveling), salary escalation, and bonus structure would help bridge what is sometimes a cloudy gap. Ensure that employee salaries are competitive for the Big 4 and provide salary adjustments proactively to encourage job security in the face of a robust job market, specifically for digital service professionals.

Continue the excellent partnerships with top vendors and expand internal hosted trainings, seminars, and getaways at the Q Center to encourage comradery in the face of such a widespread organizational footprint and flexible work culture.

I worked at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Valuable work experience and opportunities that you would not get in many other companies
    - Unparalleled growth opportunities
    - High-caliber people

    Cons

    - A company of Accenture's size has a lot of policies and there are a tone of headaches that come with it. I liked my actual job but hated having to work within all their red tape.
    - No accountability for your senior managers. If you start a career at Accenture everything you do is subject to the luck of the draw. Some projects are awesome, others are terrible and there is no effective way to weed out bad leadership at projects.
    - You will work crazy hours and there is a chance that you won't be recognized for your hard work. Worst of all, the way performance reviews are handled, you won't find out for months and months. This is particularly frustrating since people are only working to move up the ranks.

    Advice to Management

Boy, where to start? I think the bottom line is Accenture has gone from looking at their employees as assets to viewing them as resources. And it shows in a big way.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Colleagues, Good Culture. Good support for Cross Training.

    Cons

Low Pay, when compared to competitors.
Being a Services Company, people in pure Technical roles are also often judged on how much "business" (as in creating roles and adding more consultants) is being brought in by the person during the FY.

    Advice to Management

Local Management: Don't judge the fish on its ability to climb a tree..

please make sure, any programs are reaching till ground level. some of the senoir management are stopping the training programs etc to achieve their billing targets.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The people at this company are hard working which rubs off easily
    - Driven consultants/managers that can think and act independently which is great to learn from if you are just starting off
    - Good company to gain independence and own your work

    Cons

    - If you are a fast learner, career progression will feel slow
    - Newly added "rings" to the ladder which makes the climb to the top feel longer
    - Massive growth in company size has led to a massive structuring of the way internal processes work, including sales/RFPs and promotions

    Advice to Management

Good system that works for the company, but a lot of top talent falls through the cracks early on. Recommend you find a way to keep that talent that shows an accelerated pace
