I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of smart, hard-working people in the company. Lots of opportunities - both in work and industries.

    Cons

Pay is not competitive. Hiring pay may be reasonable, but annual raises have not kept up with the industry. I am not just speaking for myself, but also for co-workers with whom I have spoken.

    Advice to Management

Overall, good job - but in order to keep strong talent, you need to do more to make salaries more competitive for developers.....not just new employees, but existing ones.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and healthcare. If you are going to have a kid that's pretty nice and overall good healthcare. They will give you a lot of hours.

    Cons

Pay pay pay. Lack of promotion opportunities. Terrible bonus program. HR could care less. If you absolutely can't get a job anywhere else then maybe work here. No one stays more than year. Or at least you shouldn't.

    Advice to Management

Fight for raises. Pay people what they are worth. Allow working remotely the office is outdated. If someone has concerns about projects hear them out.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great training opportunities. People are nice. Great benefits.

    Cons

Rolled off a project and was told I had a limited time to find another project before being laid off. Sent resumes out to several projects, no response. Feeling as if company doesn't realize they may be losing an asset.

    Advice to Management

    Value the employees more.

I worked at Accenture (More than a year)

    Pros

Utilize new technologies. Free dinner on Wed. Java Developers are overworked and underpaid by $20k compared to job market salaries.

    Cons

No raise for 2 years. Management is incompetent. Work long hours from 10-12 hours a day, 5 days a week. Worked overtime 6 days a week for 2 years straight.

    Advice to Management

Don't lie. Don't keep on changing the rules to make yourself look good and creating work load to set up Senior Employees to fail so that you can meet your quotas.

Good depends on your experiences. At time good and at Times bad. All unto the circumstances and project you are in. It all up to how we perceive and not and abstract definition

    Cons

It all up to how we perceive and not and abstract definition.
Try to not generalist and be open. Have fun

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to network and gain valuable working experience. A lot of the software development tools and methodology is industry standard.

    Cons

Work/life balance is terrible. Most projects require you to work like a slave. Low pay is terrible. Depending on the project, some managers get away with unprofessional behavior because how valuable they are to the project. From my experience, AFS seems to be a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Enforce a better work/life balance, provide a competitive salary, and hold managers more accountable.
