I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The biggest plus is that they'll hire you out of college and they don't seem to care what your major is or how well you did in school. There are tons of positions so you can learn quite a lot in a short amount of time. They also provide a fairly good training budget so you can get at least one industry training class per year if you work the system properly.

    Cons

They will absolutely kill you. There are two types of employees at Accenture - the worthless filler people and the small number that do all of the work. If you show any aptitude you will be abused. This is not necessarily all bad - you will learn a ton while you're getting killed but at some point you will burn out and need to move on. Make sure you are always looking for a new job after you get around 2 years of experience and don't worry about leaving anyone behind.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people as better than just numbers and you'll have better retention.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on the project. There's a lot of autonomy and flexibility. I work with top notch talent and learn something new daily. There are lots of projects and good opportunities for involvement in community programs.

    Cons

The annual review process is crap! Long hours are sometimes required.

    Advice to Management

    Revamp your annual review process.

    Pros

PTO bank, flexible work arrangements, various clients

    Cons

lack of long term vision, managment lack of experience, experience for experience hires is poor, promotion process, work life balance, subpar work is acceptable to deliver to the client

    Advice to Management

Promote based on experience and skills within the area of experitise. Please stop "taking care of friends". The company is suffering and losing money due to the fact that SE, SR Managers and Managers are trying to keep their friends and favorites employeed instead of skilled employees qualified for the job. Start hiring people with degrees and the necessary skills to perform the tasks of their role. Simplify the rating process.

    Pros

Great learning environment. Great benefits and corporate discounts. Great opportunities to experience different industries. You do own your career and it can by as dynamic and forward-moving as you want or it will be flat if you dont want to do anything about it.

    Cons

Long hours, people will attempt to walk all over you, IF you dont establish from the beginning what you will not tolerate. Once you do that, people will treat you, as you have dictated and not try the craziness.

This annual review process is horrible.

    Advice to Management

Communicate and listen to the people on the ground doing the work. You might be surprised at the solutions to the problems you are trying to solve in your ivory tower. We do have the answers and we know how to make the solutions work for the project, without ruffling feathers. If we are truly supposed to be the up and coming leaders of this firm, try giving us the chance to lead with our ideas--we really would surprise you.
