I have been working at Accenture full-time

    Pros

Work with some of the highest quality people in IT.
Good work/life balance as a developer at least, contracted to only 37.5 hour week and encouraged to keep to it.
    Great training options.
Good opportunity to move around different industries.
Would not trade the experience I have gained for anything.

    Cons

They simply do not pay the going rate for anything other than a grad developer. When you can get almost double pay elsewhere... no matter how much you enjoy it you have to move on. That's not even including the contract market.

    Advice to Management

Pay people better. Constantly losing good developers due to pay and end up just going to the contract market. Surely exit interviews are highlighting this?

    Pros

    Great colleagues
    Clear strategy
    Great clients
    Robust methodology

    Cons

Always need to sell yourself internally
spend too much time internally to shine and position yourself
would not recommend anyone to join after 40.

    Advice to Management

Keep going and keep your customers happy.

    I worked at Accenture full-time

    Pros

    Wide range of clients
    Great people
    Good benefits
    Opportunity to learn

    Cons

People are treated like machines, not humans, people are actually referred to as "resources"
You can land on projects that have nothing to do with your career aspirations, just because
Work-Life balance is unheard of, you have to always make excuses to leave the office at 6

    Advice to Management

You have incredibly talented people working for you. Stop only acting like you care about them as human beings, and start proving it. Well-inteded initiatives such as the Mental Health one mean nothing when in reality the culture promotes working in the evenings, not having weekends and generally having 0 life outside of work.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fantastic people, all super smart, and willing to help you learn and develop all the time. Great opportunities to engage in high profile, super interesting work, and get involved from day one. At the cutting edge of business - always looking ahead to see how emerging trends will impact clients, and what can be done about it.

    Cons

Long periods working away from home coupled with long hours makes for a pretty exhausting lifestyle. Also easy to get 'lost' in such a big company if you don't build a network quickly.

    Advice to Management

Improve on-boarding and embedding of experienced hires. Make travel and fly-back policy more flexible when working on short-term projects internationally.
