I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Incredibly bright and enthusiastic people to work with
    - Industry-leading graduate programme
    - Sense of belonging and overall community feel (predominantly from Consultant level and above)
    - Multinational FTSE 500 clients on their biggest business and technology challenges
    - Continuous improvement on existing methodologies (focus on Design Thinking and empathy-based decision making) and overall focus on innovation
    - Thorough internal training portal and budget for external training
    - Restructured performance system, aimed at fairer representation

    Cons

    - International projects don't come around too often
    - Although a great graduate programme, Analysts can sometimes feel pushed around without much say on which projects to go for (unless they have a really strong network to "protect" them from less exciting projects)
    - There is still a considerable level of internal "campaigning" required when going up for promotions
    - Maintaining a strong network is absolutely key for being successful in the company

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Dynamic workplace
    - Market leader in most technology fields
    - Large budgets for innovation and assets
    - Opportunities to contribute to society as well as business

    Cons

    - Performance management can be confusing in it's current state
    - Retention of the very top talent can be tricky

    Advice to Management

Keep some focus on core delivery skills and don't get too distracted by software sales.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All the best in this company. Support from management is second to none. They invest in their training for management and this shows. Control people are polite and the technology for seeing pay and shifts is much better than I had before. Good career progression and support. Would recommend this company.

    Cons

It’s shift work, its 9.00 an hour, its OK. Get plenty of time to plan my day as the rota is worked out in advance. They don’t give you a penalty if you need to book time off.

    Advice to Management

Great work. Keep investing in your Regional Managers and in us.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Company culture (aspirations), values, mission
    * Interesting direction of work (around 'The New' - moving from delivery consulting to advisory consulting)
    * Huge global company involved in end-to-end which means huge variety in potential work, opportunities, network etc.
    * Benefits (private medical insurance, etc.) are extensive and pretty good

    Cons

    * Huge company means that sometimes people slip through the net - e.g. performance rounds are very competitive ('up or out' policy) and although they are trying to move to a more personalised approach, inevitably the differentiators are still time-at-level and time-on-client-work - for me personally this meant I missed out on a promotion as I had had time out of client work on sick leave (compared to peers)
    * While there are lots of opportunities in theory, in practice it can be difficult to move around the organisation - you need to be very proactive and the right sponsors (and a bit of luck sometimes!)

    Advice to Management

Try not to use TAL and time on client work as a differentiator and instead focus on whether that person is a future leader

I worked at Accenture as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits if not at base location
Can switch between many different job titles / projects to keep it interesting

    Cons

HR is awful. They forgot to do my exit interview so I was never offered a place back regardless of my PM saying they have all given amazing feedback about me. When I came in contact with HR they set up a call twice and both times they did not attend, very unprofessional.

You can also get 'stuck' in a project - PM won't let you go because you are 'vital'. Will need to go through HR to get rolled off and HR (as stated above) isn't the best.

    Pros

Access to major projects, good name .

    Cons

Fine if you get the right position, but they seem more concerned with making sure you are utilised regardless of whether the role is right for you - then blame you if it doesnt work out !!!
