I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Extensive training, Trainers were very kind and cared for workers.

    Cons

Training was too extensive, allowed you to get burnt out fast. Very hectic and fast passed environment. I felt like I was back in college (job ended up burning me out on getting my Master's right away). Some people seemed very uneducated, more interested in drama than work. Did not think I was doing "well" enough until I handed them my two weeks and my manager just about cried... There needs to be incentives and praise if you are doing things right... CONSTANTLY was working OT.... Also, lacking in upward growth, unless you want to be an Underwriter.

    Advice to Management

Work on your Mortgage Training class, it is dull and allows you to get burnt out crazy fast. Could probably complete whole training in just a month instead of several months.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, great experience in a high demand area.

    Cons

Be prepared to be constantly on call. If the customer wants something done rarely do the managers push back even for unreasonable request. Employee turnover is usually high.

At the worst I had a few all nighters trying to solve issues for the customer.

    Advice to Management

I was in the specialized area of Insurance which is fairly complex, getting someone with insurance knowledge is tough. So employee retention should be fought for otherwise the cost you have to train new employees causes customers to not have a great experience.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary, lots of PTO can be earned

    Cons

Almost impossible to use your earned PTO. They do not open requests for days off until very close to the actual days. Antiquated way of requesting time off having to submit form to sup, get reviewed by workforce. Unless your sup is right on top and submits to workforce the moment they come available, you aren't getting it. Only 8 hours PTO per day available to take for entire call center, so if someone takes a whole day off, you will not be abe to even get 1 hour for a doctor appointment. It's like playing roulette. Not as much room for advancement as they want you to believe for sme contracts. Will change processess at the drop of a hat, and unevenly balance workload on certain employees while allowing others to do minimal work. They care more about keeping contracts than servicing customers correctly, or valuing employees.

    Advice to Management

Get a software program to book days off liek every other company in the world. Value all employees equally, instead of taking advantage of certain, tenured employees just because you can

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits. 401K match is decent. The diversity with the employees is the best I've seen anywhere else. That's about it, unfortunately.

    Cons

Not being able to trust management. It's pretty much downhill in the Charlotte location. People are being let go for petty reasons. HR needs to be more involved with ongoing issues/concerns within the team and not sweep it under the rug. Positions are being eliminated and the future of this place is uncertain based on recent events. I hate to see how low it has gotten since I joined Accenture. You can have a potluck on a Friday and fired by Monday. Unfortunately, there are not many positive things to say right now.

    Advice to Management

    Honesty goes a long way.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They took me in as an entry level programmer with no experience. Benefits are fairly good.

    Cons

The yearly raises are laughable. Bonuses are laughable. Promotions are hard to come by, especially for women.

    Advice to Management

Walk the walk instead of just talking the talk.
