I have been working at Accenture as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

A very diversified set of people that work at Accenture. Their culture is about the belief that they can improve their clients business.

    Cons

Accenture under utilizes its work force of contractors. They say in their company literature that they believe in matching the skills of their work force with openings. They do not! It has been my experience that how I was brought into Accenture, is all they care about. They do not like to repurpose contractors to other areas, even if they are skilled in those areas.

    Advice to Management

Exercise your pool of already contracted labor. Let your contractors know of openings even if the openings are on other projects.

Professional services and client-facing work often requires long hours, 50-80% travel, and little choice in which projects to work on.
