    Pros

Accenture is one of the few companies out there that does their best to insure that you have all the information at your figure tips that you need to do any job that you are assigned. That includes identifying other employees that are experts in the different systems that Acenture works with and they are available to everyone within the company. As a way to restate a bit you are never alone on anything with in Accenture there is always someone that can and will help. Everybody goes by the concept that the work comes first, personal issues are somewhere else on the list.

    Cons

The only real downside to Accenture is that it is first and for most a consulting company and that means that all work is project driven. With being project driven you will aways have at least two people you are reporting to that can have a direct impact on your future within Accenture, the client and your own manager. Also there are times and projects that where the dead line can be months out but due to scope of work you may be working 10 hours a day for 7 days a week until it is done. This is not the norm but it does happen so you have to be ready and able to pull that time when and if needed.

    Advice to Management

So far in my time with Accenture I have not seen anything that I could really disagree with when it comes to how things are being done. I like this company and the direction it is headed and plan to stay on until I really forget what programming code is.

    Pros

The community of family members, leaderships focus, career counselors and a support staff giving their best on a daily basis. Working in a global firm like Accenture gives members the opportunity to share knowledge with experts from all over the world. Accenture employees have opportunities to learn from many cultures, sharing experiences then grow from our differences!

    Cons

Time zones - Scheduling meetings, sessions, or online training has an impact on some group but luckily this is not everyday.

    Advice to Management

Focusing on virtual offices to eliminate costs for both Accenture and the client. Schedule effective client visits to reduce traveling costs for clients.

    Pros

talented people, merit-based promotions, lots of challenge throughout the career cycle for consulting workforce people, growth company who values their people. Variety of assignments, early potential for supervising people, client-facing work as the normal way to work, team-based projects the norm for the work scenario, and a bias for implementation.

    Cons

long hours, travel part of the professional services reality -- true here

    Advice to Management

Don't forget to value your senior executive team - they are the secret sauce that makes Accenture special

    Pros

The best reason to work at Accenture is the extensive career opportunities. Accenture affords extensive career opportunities to work in its four workforces across multiple industries, functions, and geographies. These oppportunities allow employees to develop extensive skills and knowledge beyond the opportunities available in industry, making employees better suited for positions of increasing responsibility earlier in their careers.

    Cons

One downside of working at Accenture is the extensive travel required for the Consulting Workforce; however, this is disadvantage existed in all consulting firms. Accenture has attempted to mitigate this disadvantage through changes in compensation, benefits, tools, and work/life balance options--making the travel requirements manageable.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The people and culture are great. Very collaborative and supportive. Everyone including sernior executives invite communication. Everyone is available to give 15 minutes to talk to you about mentoring, an idea for a social responsibility initiative, or advice on completing your work. I have seen very junior people have an idea and be supported in pursuing making it real. Many of the current social responsibility initiatives started this way. Accenture also has a great blend of people who are home grown and experienced hires with multiple paths to success. If you started right out of college, you can be on the same track as someone hired with work experience.

    Cons

Some projects can be brutal if they are not managed well. This well affect the Accenture experience, but overall senior executives are very supportive of people. LIke any organization that provides System Integratin or Management Consulting services, Accenture doesn't always get it right because of an individual manager who is underperforming, external client dependencies or the project just is not a good idea. More times than not, Accenture delivers on its reputation for getting the job done. I have been fortunate to see tough projects still provide a positive experience as Senior Executives bring a people-first attitude and try to recognize the great work being done on their teams.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do the things you are doing to promote a positive culture.
