I worked at Accenture as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly, I do not recommend this place unless you are in debt from student loans. Poor work-life balance, lack of communication with direct managers makes it impossible to receive guidance.

    Cons

Very self-reliant culture, isolated. It appears as though no one really wants to be there. Low pay based on industry standards (other firms pay more). And if you are trying to innovate, you may have more success at a start-up. They are also under a lot of pressure right now as business they are not creating new business but trying to take business from others.

    Advice to Management

    Good luck!

    Pros

Nothing except salary which is just at par

    Cons

The team leads harrass the sub ordinates extremely to over perform in order to save their skin. They communicate without any proper mannerism and professional ethics. They treat sub ordinates like slaves.

    Advice to Management

    Please improve employee care quality

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

great money and job titles, good for booking travel to foreign countries and nice computer equipment given to you

    Cons

bad management and mostly younger females....they do not know how tot treat older employees at any level especially white men even though they know more than the managers. Really work the younger people 80 hours a week and more...no time for them to have relationships, or do anything else in their lives.

    Advice to Management

appreciate the diversity you have- all ages and colors and genders....not just white younger females driven to exclude anyone not like them.....otherwise a nice place to work (smile)

I worked at Accenture as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many fun events to foster community, multiple workshops to develop professional skills, well developed internship program, HR was great

    Cons

I had an incredibly inept manager who explicitly lied on my review, zero access to higher management, micromanaged, did not appreciate the way I saw people sell each other out, and was underutilized and bored.

    Advice to Management

Develop a spirit of community and growth, rather than one of ruthlessness, with zero integrity.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule on my project. Long term engagements. Exposure to any number of technologies. Each engagement is ran as its own profit center, so experiences can vary greatly.

    Cons

No client interaction. Lack of direction from management. Stack ranking causing competition between employees can lead to back stabbing. When going through the hiring process, some employees will hire less experienced and talented people than themselves to look good. Meat grinder mentality with high turn over. Pay for experience is the lowest I have seen. Work life balance tag line is a bold faced lie.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to manage something. Managers that actually do a task seem to only be mid level management and not the managing directors as the mid levels are admittedly way over capacity.
