I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Recognizable name, good exposure, challenging work, plenty of networking opportunities, great compensation, 401k match, plenty of PTO

    Cons

Weak middle management, beholden to federal government, limited upward mobility in established projects, extremely weak middle management. Need to reiterate to convey just how weak.

    Advice to Management

Take a class on how to manage. Learn how to be a leader. Practice acting like a human. Respect those who work for you. Form human connections.

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good professional exposure and pay, room to work as hard or as little as you'd like. Opportunity to experience various roles and/or projects. Got promoted after a year of employment (most analysts do).

    Cons

Office politics and corporate bureaucracy plague company culture. The image of the work being done often seemed more important than the substance of the work itself.

    Advice to Management

Consider encouraging employees in ways other than just the prospect of bonuses and promotions. Not everyone is in the pursuit of titles all their career. Some people actually care about the discipline of the work they do and the quality of what they deliver as professionals. Cultivating a GENUINE culture around excellence, innovation and leadership will serve the organization well.

"Impressive integrity, but limited opportunity for experienced hires"

    Pros

Absolutely the best, most brilliant and driven workforce on the planet. Fantastic client roster. Integrity is taken seriously by everyone, from new analysts to the most senior leadership. Every employee is in charge of their own career path--which can be as broad or as deep as desired. Stunning benefits. Inspired day-to-day working environment.

    Cons

Many experienced hires I can in contact with were let down by being led into high hopes for making a difference, but found reality to be limited to very low-levels of actual impact potential. Junior analysts are hired right out of college, and by the time they reach manager/director levels, they've built a strong network of insiders and have become adept at Accenture's methodologies. Direct hires often get side-lined and find themselves in subpar roles, while their longtime Accenture peers get the truly meaningful engagements.

    Advice to Management

Capitalize on the diverse depth of experience your experienced hires bring in -- or don't waste the time and effort in recruiting them.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The biggest pro is the people - most everyone is hardworking and very intelligent. Another incentive is the work-life balance. Flexible schedules are easily approved and there's a great annual PTO balance.

    Cons

The biggest shortfall is pay unless you're aligned to the Consulting workforce. Pay disparities between workforces are more than nominal.
