I have been working at Acceptance Insurance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Senior leadership is working hard to make Acceptance an irresistible place to work. Investments in morale building recognition programs, enhanced training curricula, and an emphasis on the importance of having happy employees is refreshing. The company created an employee assistance program to collect donations for our team members that were impacted by the hurricanes and are continuing indefinitely for those that develop a need for emergency help in the future. You have plenty of opportunity to shine and build a successful career - the company will give you the tools and if you put in the effort you will be rewarded. There are also growth opportunities and internal promotions are on the rise.

    Cons

I wish we could have been at this stage sooner!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I worked at Acceptance Insurance full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The new management at Acceptance is starting to a difference in the company atmosphere. I built an office at Acceptance from scratch, and watched it set growth records. As a District Manager, I watched my team win repeated contests. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Acceptance, but some of the managers brought in by the company back in 2010 were the worst I have ever endured. I worked 80-hour weeks with short staff, and I still was pushed for more. I finally had to put my family first again and resigned. Now that some of those people are gone, I see the climate changing at Acceptance. The company once again seems to care about the employees. I believe the company can now become the best in the non-standard market. I pray for the company and its leadership daily. I am excited to the good things to come for those who are still there.

    Cons

Some of those stupid managers brought in from the outside are still there. Complete change will not happen until all of them are gone.

    Advice to Management

Review all managers and eliminate those who do not treat employees with respect.

I have been working at Acceptance Insurance full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Family atmosphere and genuine willingness to help from most of the employees between departments and throughout the organization. The hours are as normal as most insurance companies are. Salaries are getting better than they were in past years. Clearly not the same company I hired into... much better than it was!

    Cons

This one is difficult because there have been so many changes. Change is hard for many however the changes I have seen have been for the better. It just takes some getting used to and it takes time to work out the "bugs" but they being worked on and it is being noticed! So no real cons that I can speak of today.

    Advice to Management

Keep paying attention to your employees and keep working on the path you have set. Continue to spend time with your people to really get to know them. Some in upper management do this now but you need to know that this goes a long way with keeping employees happy and feeling as if you care about them individually. It would be nice to have some sort of annual get together with co-workers from other offices to help make/build our bonds stronger.
