I worked at Acceptance Now full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job had good pay if you are just starting out in the management field. A lot of opportunities for advnacement

    Cons

Employees don't stay with the company because the management does not allow for long term careers. Working in the stores is a very bad environment. Working for the company for over a year, there were maybe 2 employees that enjoyed their job. The management structure needs completely redone, to allow the sales managers to have accountability. The company also allows so much drama to exist. The company did not want to listen to honest feedback from store levels, and even when the companies programs were the problem, they don't step in and work with the field to fix the issues. The company allowed problems to get way out of hand before stepping in, and then blamed field associates for the issues.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote employees into "management" positions without training them on management. By allowing anyone to represent your company as a manager you are setting a bad face for the company. Manager positions should be training for, and given the authority that it takes to run the position. Having actual managers would cut turn over in half, because staff would not think that a promotion should be guaranteed to them without hard work.

I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Weekly Check, that's about it!

    Cons

Everything! Management is Horrible! They threaten your job everyday in order to seek results. You work all day all night. When you work overtime they will adjust your time! Horrible. I've had 3 regional managers, 6 District Managers and 8 managers! They treat the seasoned employees like crap! You have no work life balance. You will never see your family. They claim to promote from within. That's a lie

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees. Treat them right! Stop hiring inexperienced people as managers and making seasoned employees train them! STOP IT! Stop saying that it doesn't matter if we worked here for years, our work don't matter and someone can get promoted who's been working there for 4 months! Stop saying that! What company continuously threatens your job??????!!!

I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a job, however, be prepared to sell your humanity for a paycheck

    Cons

    Culture-Cheating customers,
COllections: you hound customers (some of whom deserve it because they never intended to pay in the first place). Others just got caught up in misleading practices.
    Little work/life balance
    Little training.
