I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A great place to work. You can get promoted fast. I have been with the company a little over a year and have learned a lot. In our district we have great team work. Host store treats you like one of their own employee. If the DM and RD see that you are interested in moving up with the company they will train you to do so.
Pay is great. Bonuses are good.

    Cons

Long hours. High turn over rate. Black out days for vacation should be the same as the host store that you are in.

    Advice to Management

My DM is great. Straight forward, trains you on what you need to get you promoted.

    Pros

Pretty solid weekly pay. No real challenging tasks.

Help all stores and allow managers off or to work when they want if staffed and can do the job.

    Pros

    Its a job
    Most days I did nothing

    Cons

    No training
Was placed at Raymour and Flaningan (where their staff was to me and treated me like an outsider)
    Disorganized
    Short staffed
    Hours are ridiculous

    Advice to Management

Don't just throw your employees to the wolves. Get them properly trained.

    Pros

Benefits are middle of the road

    Cons

Work 10am-9pm 5 days/week. Two weekends off per year. Work every single holiday except Christmas day and Easter Sunday. You have to work Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving.

    Advice to Management

Hire from within. DMs from outside of ANOW never last the first six months.

I worked at Acceptance Now full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

work in a clerical environment. You get a chance to know your coworkers and make lasting friendships.

    Cons

It should be listed as a collections department because 99% of the job consists of making collection calls and the other 1% is trying to sell and getting calls from upper management wanting more sales, more collections.
It's a struggle to get vacation time approved and they will not work with you if you plan on going to college.
