I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy the benefits most. You get a TON of benefits. The employee discount is solid- you have to know how to do it. Health insurance is solid. It cost me $25 a week, $500 deductible.

    Cons

The major downside of the job is work/life balance. To be good, you must be dedicated. That is the price you pay though with any good job.

    Advice to Management

    Allow more PTO

  2. "Easy to sell. Stressful to collect. Great benefits but no internal motivation. No room for growth unless some one leave."

I have been working at Acceptance Now full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy office like environment. Benefits such as health dental and vision. Bonus every so often. Raise every 6 months. Work with your schedule.

    Cons

Long retail hours. Collections of past due customers is stressful at times. They lack training even when they have the material.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should be aware that location plays a big role in sales and collection. It isn't fair to pressure certain districts and compare them to others. They should give bonus to CSRs because they work just as hard as the managers. They should train better in Florida. Texas district are better at training.

I worked at Acceptance Now full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Due to the slow pace of business at my particular location's host store, this was an easy job for the compensation. Benefits are also excellent through parent company Rent-A-Center. If you are comfortable making lots of phone calls this job will not be difficult. I also felt it gave me new and valuable experience managing customer accounts to improve our store's collections numbers and selling new customers is easy if you have any sales experience and shouldn't be hard to learn if you don't.

Management in my territory was very willing to increase compensation for employees that they could tell were valuable. Also, the standard pay increases awarded over time are considerably faster than similar pay hikes with other companies.

    Cons

At a busier store, like the one I trained at, I think I would feel the hourly rate (even with monthly bonuses) would be a bit too low. But like I said above if you stick with them your pay will be increased incrementally at a relatively great rate.

    Advice to Management

Try to implement (if you haven't already) a way of tracking which representative is logging most of the helpful activity. Our store's collections numbers improved dramatically while I was working there and my supervisor almost never made a call when we were both working that day to help make sure we contacted everyone we needed to that day. They just waited for the store reps to bring over a new customer for a sale opportunity.
