I have been working at Access full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very innovative company where the CEO and management are directly involved. Access really cares and invests in their employees. Access hosts breakfast and treat days on a monthly basis. They also host various events throughout the year, including a Holiday luncheon with numerous give-a-ways and prizes. Most companies have cut these types of activities in order to save money. Access continues to do more for their employees. There is a lot of opportunity for career advancement and growth.

    Cons

Perimeter Mall area is a popular area. Traffic can sometimes be congested but the area is very convenient.

I have been working at Access full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some very nice people who work there.

    Cons

Too many to name. Cliques among management. No professionalism either. The only place I've ever worked where I have witnessed more than one person cry multiple times. If I could give zero stars I would. This is a very toxic environment. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

    Advice to Management

I don't think I will provide any advice to management because it won't matter.

I have been working at Access (More than a year)

    Pros

    California hours. Come in 10-7

    Cons

Management is revengeful and makes decisions based on who they like versus who delivers results. They do not have a consistent employee recognition program or way of telling you what the expecations are. It changes based on how they feel. The directives to close and open claims create a phantom pending. It is a high pending and a lot of work. They also do not have a vetting process for new employees and hire people on the spot. There is a high turnover rate because they hire less qualified employees and are desperate to fill seats. They do not promote from within because it is too expensive to train. They rather hire someone who has already performed that job.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees concerns. Give them tools to do their job better. Give them clear directives and goals to establish guidelines on how they are ranked. Hire to reasonable standards.

Beautiful building and amenities - including a free gym! Great work/life balance and competitive salaries. Access is filled with great people who care about their jobs.

Even though it is a great location, the traffic in the area can be crazy - especially during the holidays.

I have been working at Access full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is decent, but that's it. Honestly can't put anything else in this section. Nothing else is decent here. So sad.

    Cons

Everything else. This place does not investigate claims. Only focus is to close claims ASAP by closing out reserves before the claim is done. Other adjusters get credit by closing down your files and get stupid Emmy trophies for shutting down other people's files, when the adjuster who is actually trying to work a quality file, gets absolutely no credit for doing so. This place needs to refocus on its priorities before the DOI files bury it in the ground.

    Advice to Management

Focus on quality worked files, customer service and employee morale, instead of constantly emailing stupid excel spread sheets every few minutes emphasizing closing reserves when they shouldn't be.

    Pros

Nice location. Covered parking. 5 words is tough for this one, guys.

    Cons

No budget for IT, no concern for quality, or the customer, or the people, or anything really. No path for advancement. No appreciation foe tenure. Crappy raises. Bad benefits.

    Advice to Management

Let people who know what they are doing make decisions.
