I worked at AccorHotels full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The only pro for working at Accor, also known as Motel 6 or G6 Hospitality is because it's a job that pays money.

    Cons

High risk guests, police are the security because of the risky nature of the property, benefits are below par, upper management does not listen to on-site management and terminates employees at their discretion and not the property manager

    Advice to Management

Trust your people more and they will make the property survey scores and guest satisfaction increase as you are looking for. Also--spend money on your properties as they are in poor condition.

Accor hotels consider closely their staff developments and internal promotions, good company to work for.

    Cons

Nothing really special, but shall that According to some locations and owners, some hotels in some need closer attention on general aspect, with more support from Corporate office to have owners invest to upgrade and maintain properly facilities.

    Advice to Management

upgrade Contracts to support GM and corporate office can further negotiate with owners.

I worked at AccorHotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large stable company with competitive pay and benefits. The opportunity to travel for work, without it being your life. I liked talking to people all over the world everyday, and learning how different cultures do business

    Cons

The French Management team was a bit flakey. Additionally French culture is about who you can blame when something goes wrong, not how to fix it for the client- this rubbed against my American service values.

    Advice to Management

don't rest on your laurels- you are a big operator in France, but will lose market share unless you innovate against the competition looking to replace you.

I worked at AccorHotels (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to get first experience in management. A lot of autonomy.

    Cons

Hard to move up due to the large number of long tenured employees who were set in their ways.

    Advice to Management

Go after more young people and give them a growth plan so they're more likely to stick around.
