Structured, disciplined environment for young professional

Micromanage, long hours and sense that you're on the chopping block after a couple of bad months

I worked at Accountemps as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Few. RH does have a large network

    Cons

Terrible communication. Routinely does not respond to emails and phone calls. RH is just yet another placement agency where their priority is THEMSELVES. If RH has already sold you, you go to the bottom of the list.

    Advice to Management

Improve on professionalism amongst all of the staff.

I worked at Accountemps full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You learn a great deal about work ethic, being organized, and well planned. They pay well when you start earning bonuses, and you work with some good people.

    Cons

Poor management. They could grow revenue by valuing employees instead of looking at profits over people. Placing people in jobs wasn't rewarding - it was to generate revenue and fee's above all else.

    Advice to Management

Take a que from other markets across the U.S. that are growing by taking care of people. Turnover wouldn't be sky high if you valued people.

I worked at Accountemps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent training program through corporate itself.

    Cons

The training you receive in branch is terrible! I'm sure that every branch or region is ran differently, but the particular region I was in was a NIGHTMARE!!!! Our branch manager lied to us constantly, even over the silliest of things, she never did her own work and always made sure she had the easiest accounts to get positions in from. Work load completely burns you out and occasionally makes you breakdown in tears. Additionally, this particular region does not promote from within and if you express interest in growth you completely black list yourself, because you are "tapped on the shoulder and hand selected by the regional and its considered an honor to be selected." They would rather bring someone from the outside with littler or no experience than ever promote a great employee.

    Pros

Great to work with if you can fit their need for one of their position.

    Cons

They will tell you they need to interview you via Skype but runs late and never call unless you reach out to them.

    Advice to Management

Your workers need to be more professional or else no one will want to work with your company. There are plenty of staff agency out there.

I worked at Accountemps (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility with work areas. Various assignments.

    Cons

They are not really interested in doing permanent placements, and they are not very proactive for the employees.

    Advice to Management

The SPS program has so much potential, you really need to make it it's own division and market it better. It is very frustrating to have to wonder every time an assignment ends weather or not you still have a job because no one is properly marketing the service.

    Pros

You are able to write your own paycheck to an extent based on earning commissions

    Cons

The management team and senior staff sits on large accounts making it difficult to be successful, they promote people into management for the wrong reasons and keep them there regardless of their management feedback. They also provide you inaccurate/inflated information from the hiring process throughout your entire career in order to benefit themselves.
