I have been working at Accountemps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very versatile, they can place you in a temp position, full time permanent or contract position and help you keep looking for the perfect position even while working on a temporary assignment. They are incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the industry as well.

    Cons

Benefits are better than some but still not great. You have to work for at least a year before eligible for full medical coverage or vacation.

    Advice to Management

Keep in better communication while people are on assignment or at least make sure protocol is understood if an issue arises.

I have been working at Accountemps full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    *Opportunities to test drive companies
    *Free e-learning
    *Weekly pay schedule
    *Learn about other industries
    *Flexibility
*Constant feedback from recruiter and client

    Cons

*Assignments could end sooner than anticipated
*Lower benefits as compared to being a 'regular' employee. Some benefits can be purchased through them.
*Temp-to-hire could last anywhere from a couple weeks to many months
*Recruiters effectiveness can vary greatly. My former one in another state was awful. Poor communication and responsiveness. I never had any interviews or assignments. My current recruiter is FABULOUS! I always know where I stand with them and with the clients. She's always looking out for me and tries to be one or two steps ahead of the game. She should get Recruiter of the Decade!

    Advice to Management

Make sure all recruiters have the same training as my current one!!

    Pros

They don't mind if I turn down a job, they call again with another for which I am qualified.

    Cons

Of course they don't pay very much, but they have expenses too including matching FICA, plus the company has to make a profit too!

I worked at Accountemps (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility with work areas. Various assignments.

    Cons

They are not really interested in doing permanent placements, and they are not very proactive for the employees.

    Advice to Management

The SPS program has so much potential, you really need to make it it's own division and market it better. It is very frustrating to have to wonder every time an assignment ends weather or not you still have a job because no one is properly marketing the service.

I worked at Accountemps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The training is good and the individual who is over the training department offices out of Tulsa. He's a respected person.

    Cons

Way too many to list. Bully managers that don't really care about the employees - very heavy handed and micro managing. They are unable to find qualified talent in the Tulsa area because of their reputation, therefore they transferred a manager from Irving to the Tulsa office who is an absolute joke. He is not taken seriously and is very arrogant. Nice move RH.

    Advice to Management

Try less of a cut throat approach, especially in smaller markets...it does not work and will never work when you call the same company 10 times in one week thinking you will get e different result if you pester them more. This business is built on relationships, not stalking potential clients to see if you can get one order.
