CEO continues to micromanage and discourage employees

    Pros

Great benefits. Colleagues are generally a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

The current CEO has a very unhealthy relationship with power and takes some bold moves to create it for herself. Whether it is firing anyone with competing power (COO, CFO), replacing her leadership team (everyone in current leadership was hired after the CEO), or making disparaging comments to those without a backbone to tell her otherwise. It also comes in the form of valuing her own self over others. When a large vendor relationship failed (after almost 2 years), she blamed the vendor, never herself. When the COVID-19 pandemic began to occur, she (as a healthcare leader) mocked the disease, compared it to the flu, and decided to host a conference event. That conference was then canceled - only after many (50+) of employees (not herself) and healthcare workers flew to the location the day of. She is smart enough to find ways to sweep these catastrophes under the rug in front of the board of directors.

    Pros

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who mean well

    Cons

While there are some good apples, the company is under bad executive leadership. Employees don't feel appreciated and environment is toxic due to micro mismanagement and inability to make good decisions.

    No growth in the company

    Pros

The benefits are good. Good insurance plan, plenty of PTO.

    Cons

After the new CEO came, the company has been sinking. Employees are getting fired left and right and she brings her friends in. There has been no growth in the company. The CEO is very micromanaging and won't let other people make decisions. Very little care for their employees. Since the new CEO came, the turnover rate increased drastically. I have not met a single person in this office who is happy to be at work. Highly recommend not working here.

    Improving... slowly

    Pros

Great benefits, sense of belonging, hard-working dedicated folks, real sense of teamwork, excellent events recognizing employees.

    Cons

Pettiness amongst the ranks, gossipping, cliques, insider/outsider culture, and generally myopic about the junior staff. Technology needs are OK but not forward-facing. Accreditation activity is generally above-board.

    Pros

People are nice, good benefits, covered parking which is appreciated in bad weather. Casual office where you can wear jeans to work.

    Cons

New CEO is intelligent and well spoken, but is micromanaging staff. Seems to spend time on operations and developing templates, instead of vision and strategy. Openly criticizes people. Lot of stressed and unhappy staff. Expect more people will leave.
