    Pros

There is a lot of Freedom with no micromanagement. The facility is very nice and safe, free parking and a workout facility

    Cons

No processes in place, terrible leadership, unprofessional environment. The entry level roles dominant the environment and it is much like high school

    Pros

Most of my co-workers at great to work with. The work is interesting and challenging.

    Cons

"Rules". Attendance, dress code, productivity, ... are enforced inconsistently, not just by office/ location but even within groups. As someone said earlier, if "they" like you, they look the other way if someone not in the "clique" complains they are told to mind their own business. They bring in new-hires for more $$ than the loyal employees that have been there for YEARS and have to train the new hires how to do the job.

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of the sand. Reward/appreciate the hard workers. Sit with us to learn just what it is we do. There is more to it that what you give us credit for. Once hired as follow up you cannot advance past coordinator. LISTEN to us. We know what we are doing.

    Pros

There are none. do not waste your time.

    Cons

There is no organization, they spin out of control over the littlest issues, managing staff is horrible at best, and to think I wasted 6 years watching them act as if they were children. Please do not take a position with these people they are only looking out how to cover their backsides.

    Advice to Management

Your lucky you found an investor before you crashed.

    Pros

Not to many Pros . At least not for me.

    Cons

Everyone is so miserable who works for this company. The employee's don't smile, they look sad and the work floor is so quite you could hear an ant fart. No eating at your desk, no cell phones, you must clock at your exact start time! Not 1 minute before or after or you will get written up. Terrible and petty. No wonder everyone is miserable. Entirely too much to learn for the pay too!

    Advice to Management

Research how successful companies retain employees. You all haven't a clue. Even your Mangers are miserable.

I worked at Accretive Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment is relaxed both in terms of attire and atmosphere. Different backgrounds and a lot to learn in terms of Medical Billing. You'll gain the experience working with different types of insurance and it's invaluable.

    Cons

Some things seem a bit suspicious in terms bonus and promotion opportunity. When I was released, it was just a few days before receiving a ($3000) referral bonus. I wasn't given much of a reason except performance issues. Even then, I had no real problem believing that, but once I discovered one of the best workers was being released too with no real reason cited, I discovered that they too were only a few days away from receiving that bonus.

Another thing is the fluctuation in productivity demands. It seems the job is based on averages. In other words, if someone works well beyond the average number of 20 accounts (say they did 80), the average bumps up to 30-40 accounts. And they really apply the pressure about it.

    Advice to Management

No advice to management, really. My management team was friendly and carrying. Beyond them, I would say that I feel there needs to be more transparency in things.
