    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at AccuWeather.COM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Name recognition- good for a resume. "Unlimited" sick days, but calling out means dumping your work on your co-workers. Pretty good about promoting from within.

    Cons

Benefits are average, minimal vacation days, pay is below average, quarterly meetings brag about how much money the company is making but you won't be, high employee turnover,

    Advice to Management

Better pay, increase staffing, better health care, better vacation.

    Pros

    Can't think of any pros

    Cons

High turnover rate/ Not hiring the right person for the team/ Too much work / No OT/ I seem to be on call all the time because everyone is always reaching out to me as I am the only who knows what is going on

    Advice to Management

Hire more people to spread out the workload

    I have been working at AccuWeather.COM full-time

    Pros

Overall, a hard working, dedicated staff.

    Cons

Run by family far too long. Outdated facility built and run on the cheap. Lifetime staffers promoted into leadership positions who have no clue how to manage people and process.

    Advice to Management

Stop getting in the way with your outdated ideas and personal priorities. There is so much time wasted on stupid stuff that will never benefit the bottom line. Family ownership should no longer lead the company, they should follow the advice of some of the smart people you've hired and get out of their way.

    Pros

The atmosphere is so laid back and really fun! You will always feel comfortable and, benefits like unlimited paid sick days were always a plus.

    Pros

You can find some really great co-workers there, very much in the trenches mentality.

    Cons

    Pay, management is awful.

    Advice to Management

It's said ad nauseum, so hardly worth saying. Pay people living wages and you'll attract and retain better staff.
