I have been working at Accutest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Accutest takes on people right out of college. If you are looking to build experience this place will provide that for you. Upward mobility is very good you can get promoted to a more responsible position within a year of starting. Flexible schedules. You can pick to work weekends, nights and etc. As long as you can work Accutest will find a schedule for you. A lot of opportunity for overtime.

Accutest has branches all over US. People have been known to transfer if they wanted to.

    Cons

High turn over rate really hurts every position. You can expect to train new people often. Responsibility is pushed on to the few who can perform. People rarely get fired for under performing. Aging equipment. High work load.

    Advice to Management

Your business model is understandable but it has it's downsides. Little pay, entry level hires and high work load will always result in high turnover, lower quality and low morale. You should plan accordingly. This business model benefits from structure. Set roles for everyone in department. Plans for rush work.

    Pros

Laxed as long as work is completed. Perfect to get lab experience on resume.

    Cons

The pay scale is ridiculous and varies greatly from person to person in same dept.

    Advice to Management

Job responsibilities and workload doesn't reflect in pay.

I have been working at Accutest Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been with Accutest for a little over a year and I enjoy coming to work everyday. I receive sick/personal days, holiday pay, paid vacation, benefits (which there are options so you can choose what the best option is going to be for you and your family), 401K. I have also received great training and I am learning something new everyday from the other individuals in my department that are extremely knowledgeable. The people that work here are also extremely nice and its easy to get along with them.

I have red previous reviews that make comments about upper management but I have found that they are extremely easy to approach and will take their time out of their day to help explain things to you and to answer any questions that you have.

The company goes out of its way to try to come up with fun things to do for the employees like bagels every pay day, pizza parties, ice cream sundae bars, employee bbqs. They also try to give back to the community by running food drives and adopting a family over the holidays.

I have always received my pay on time and it is always accurate.

    Cons

My commute to the lab is on the long side. I am always cold but that is because of the instruments.

I worked at Accutest Laboratories full-time

    Pros

Staff knows the industry and new senior management team (2014) had there at together... more focused on strategy basics and the people that delivered on it. Good national footprint.

    Cons

Despite positive changes, staff turnover remains an issue. Purchase by SGS may have made the problem worse... some really good guys were let go as a result of acquisition.

    Advice to Management

Keep the direction moving forward... don't go too "corporate" with the SGS purchase... keep strategy simple and staff focused.

I have been working at Accutest Laboratories full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The experience is great for a resume. My co-workers are great and my boss is extremely flexible with hours and work scheduling

    Cons

The pay is awful. I could honestly probably make more money waiting tables or tending a bar on the weekends.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more money if you want them to stay in the company. The turnover rate is exceptionally high.

I worked at Accutest Laboratories part-time

    Pros

Quality Assurance is a high priority in the organization. Also, work environment is relaxed and friendly. It can get hectic during the summer due high volume of work orders.

    Cons

Facilities need a lit bit of renovation and expansion to improve the efficiency of the personnel.
