- Current Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
People, projects, leadership, values, products
Cons
No cons. Great company to work for that gets better all the time.
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
office day once a week and national conferences
Cons
no increase in salary with more years of experience
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Company is focused on one of the most important and noble missions. The leadership has really invested in culture over the past two years and even more so during Covid. The environment is respectful, thoughtful and focused on driving growth. A renewed sense of mission that starts within and empowers has really developed amongst all employees and it is inspiring.
Cons
Lots to do and hard to always find the right balance.

Pros
Mission to help children with literacy.
Cons
Too much travel for implementation managers.
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
The amount of PTO I received
Cons
Seemed organized, employees unappreciated, micromanaging, mid level manager collecting a pay check and not doing too much work, no room to move up in career
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
interesting business, model, great solution for helping kids
Cons
high turn over, low morale
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Benefits are okay. Some teams are great to work with.
Cons
No sense of being a valued employee. Unused PTO doesn't roll over and is not compensated. Bumbling behemoth of a company that has no concept of efficiency. Latches onto an antiquated product in lieu of acknowledging fresher, better products. Bonuses that we were promised? Those didn't happen. And there's no opportunity to move up in the company. Any "lateral" moves that have been offered would come with a drop in pay. NOT acceptable when I'm already making barely enough.

Pros
Remote work locations widely accepted
Cons
Ancient work processes and resistant to change
Continue reading - Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Great benefits, beautiful office, great suite of products, helping children
Cons
Lack of career advancement in company
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Generous PTO - this is the only reason I stayed so long. The work-life balance wasn't terrible either.
Cons
Don't believe the 5-star reviews, they were probably written by HR. It was okay, but there are much better companies out there. I have heard from friends still at Achieve about major furloughs and layoffs both prior to and because of Covid. In my years (2013 - 2019) at Achieve, there were 5 major layoffs across all departments. Many times I was given more and more work to do with no raise or even a thank you. There was no room for a "worker bee" like me to advance so it was time to move on. I am not sure what the future holds for this company, but it seems pretty abysmal from the other reviews on this page.
