    Pros

    I love working for Achievers because it is a professionally managed company that uses a professional approach to handle its blue chip customers HR and Financial consulting requests.

    Cons

    Limited availability of high end training. Low to mid end training is provided

    Advice to Management

    Keep on doing what you do best. Consulting in HR

    I worked at Achievers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I left!

    Ability to work from home and avoid the social clique and childishness of staff.

    Cons

    Don't practice what they preach. Disorganized organization and outlook. Cliquey, unwelcome staff and leadership.
    Rampant workplace gossip.
    Unequal pay, no inflation raises.
    Very little opportunity for advancement.
    Leadership has been promoted from within and has little to no development or coaching experience.
    Little evidence to show that the company is truly determined to "change the way the world works". Just squeeze as much money out of its customers as possible.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up. Be the progressive company you "sell yourselves" to be. Stop picking favourites and stop workplace gossip rather than participating in it.

    Pros

    Great product, friendly co-workers, good benefits and perks, competitive salary, senior leadership is great, and the overall company culture is pretty laid-back.

    Cons

    Abnormally high amount of turnover, especially in management. The organization does not move quickly enough in hiring to remain optimally functional. Opportunities for advancement are minimal, growth of the company has slowed significantly, parent company is terrible.

    Advice to Management

    Changing the way the world works should be an internal practice and not just a slogan.

    Great team, very smart people, real A-players

    Cons

    The majority of career opportunity/progression is in the Toronto office where 75% of the CSM team are. Opportunities to excel outside of the Toronto office are few and far between.

    Advice to Management

    Be aware of your remote employees and offer career opportunities as much as possible to keep them engaged, as it's harder to be part of something when you're not close to the action.

    Pros

    Favorite thing about the company is the people and the culture. Its truly an organization that invest in having the right people that align with their values. The environment is fun but highly productive while consistently creating new best practices.

    Cons

    Two offices; one in SF and one in Toronto. Doesn't affect the day to day but makes you wonder what the other office is doing.

    -Amazing coworkers
    -Work flexibility
    -Company is actively changing how companies work

    Cons

    -Recently acquired and there are many questions about how this will ultimately impact the culture.
    -Distributed work force can lead to inefficiencies in communication
    -Some of the managers are not the strongest, at times getting in the way of people (who know more) getting the job done.

    Advice to Management

    Be careful as the acquisition matures to not loose what was built over the past 10 years, much of the magic is in the culture and people. This company is full of great people who are being actively recruited by companies offering substantially higher salaries, identify your performers and make sure the pay is equitable to the market.

    I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    All of the employees are very nice and willing to help. The company is growing fast so there is lots to do, and as a result I get to work with lots of different teams and get a glimpse into their worlds. At my last company, I was stuck in one job which got to be pretty boring pretty quickly. I like how much fun everyone seems to have. The new CEO seems to be a great cultural fit and has a great background. Love the team events.

    Cons

    I guess all companies have their pluses and minuses, but nothing really sticks out as a "con."

    Advice to Management

    This seems like a great market segment in which we can have a huge impact as a company. Let's grab as much market share as we can!
