I have been working at Acosta part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

flexible schedule, work mostly alone, weekends off

    Cons

no room for advancement, poor benefits, no bonuses, low hourly wage with no raise, ever. they pay for mileage but it is one of the lowest rates in country and you must pay for everything else that comes with wear and tear.

    Advice to Management

compensate employees for the job they do.
I would only recommend this job to someone looking for part time work but it is very hard to make this a full time career.

    Pros

Great place to work at. Great leadership team and hardworking. Long hours for small pay tho. The training is minimal but easy to learn. The people are great and nice. I like that everyone works as a team and get things done.

    Cons

The pay is not that great and they give u alot of work. They tend to give u work that is not on your job description but no raiseZ

I have been working at Acosta part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can move your schedule around to suit the rest of your life. The work is relatively easy, though sometimes labor intensive.

    Cons

Hours are very sporadic. Most of the time there isn't enough work to go around. Very disorganized company.

    Advice to Management

Get your stuff together. Know what's going on at your stores with your employees.

    Pros

The flexibility and being on your own.

    Cons

The workload your expected to do in a 40 hr week with no ot. No annual raises. People that have worked here for 10 years make the same as new people.

    Advice to Management

Keep promises that are made to associates

I have been working at Acosta part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay and hours, depending on what you want and looking for, is decent. That is if you're looking to make a little extra money.

    Cons

They have hours set only at 16 hrs a week. No over time. Have to have an Iphone, Ipad, android based phone, take pictures of you at your table, with the animal, manager, or pet parent (which rarely happens). Take pictures every single time you go into work. You only have 2 hrs to clock in your time and all of the information that you put down on your time sheet. If you don't have a phone you'll have to haul tale and get home and clock in before the 2 hrs are up! And if you do have a phone, fyi the pet stores don't even have access themselves to use there OWN Wifi! You will then have to find a place within those 2 hours, to clock in. And if you don't you're in trouble. Hope this helps. But alot of people have already left. Lost's of changes with the time sheet. The demo program use to be with Natural Balance but they were sold this year to this third company and they cut the hours. Not sure if they're going to change the pay rate by next year.

    Advice to Management

More hours and days. Not to just have only 2 hours to clock in. Check with stores first before telling employees they HAVE to clock in by using there WiFi. Have a meeting with employees to get peoples views and answers about taking pictures with people, because everyone doesn't go for that, and they also need to find out on there own what the competitors amounts are on there coupons, not the reps.
They will look at us like we're crazy and laugh, because I've had it to happen!
They need to do there research!

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits, supplies provided

    Cons

Supervisors are quite critical, demanding and hard-nosed. They're on you every second and constantly watching. They and the other employees all stick together and will snitch on you the least little thing.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together

    Pros

Working by yourself and flexible schedule. Get to keep a lot of cool stuff. And get to meet a lot of new people.

    Cons

Always having to drive for little mileage reimbursement and almost never get to see anyone. Part time insurance was TERRIBLE and very expensive.

    Advice to Management

Visit your reps more often and show appreciation.

I worked at Acosta part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was flexible which is what lured me in
Manager was nice but had a full plate with so many to supervise

    Cons

Will wear your car out with very little compensation
Co we were contracted out by changed requirements to full time only 8-5. No pay raise. No more compensation for use of vehicle. In the past you could receive $250-300 for use of vehicle if full time.

I have been working at Acosta full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

F/T & P/T Benefits, decent pay for management, some travel (if you like that)

    Cons

You never get a raise, no matter how well you do your job or how long you've been with them. Don't get injured, they'll find anyway to get you to quit.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like dirt and maybe your turnover wouldn't be so high.
