I have been working at Acrodex full-time

    Pros

Company provides growth opportunities to complete additional training, obtain certifications, and gain work related experience.

    Cons

Work may sometimes be over demanding during peak times. Compensation is modest.

    Advice to Management

I believe the company would benefit by doing more to increase retention of experienced workers.

I have been working at Acrodex full-time

    Pros

Great working environment and great for experience. Lot's of friendly employees, and monthly events are held for team bonding.

    Cons

Separation between different departments. Not much of a con, but parking is about a two minute walk from the office.

I have been working at Acrodex as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really nice place. Pay is well suited to recent college graduates entering the work force. I like the "company culture" and the people. I noticed here that several people have an issue with upper management. Not the case for me, although it's possible I haven't worked here for a long enough time to give a well-rounded review. I was hired in April 2016 on contract and hope to get on full-time once I get a few Microsoft certs under my belt along with CCNA. The hiring process is not grueling and I was thankful for that, as it's hard to get a "foot in the door" at many other successful companies. If your interest in pursuing an IT career comes naturally to you, it's likely that you'll enjoy this experience. The opportunity to work overtime seems like a regular occurrence. I can find few drawbacks. 4/5 - extending benefits to all employees will make it a 5/5. Awesome

    Cons

Benefits provided can be extended or improved slightly, but for full-time employees they seem sufficient

    Advice to Management

Never held a management position, not able to provide suggestions

I worked at Acrodex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed job working independently. If you get your work done during the day, they don't mind if you kill a bit of time before you get back to the shop.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement internally. If you want to get a promotion or raise within the company you will be waiting a long time.

    Advice to Management

Work on developing high performers from within rather than just letting them leave.

    Pros

You will learn a lot, continuing education is expected and supported. HR is actively working on increasing company morale.

    Cons

How well you are treated will depend on your business unit and manager. Getting equipment and tools to work with is far more difficult than one would expect from an IT company.

I worked at Acrodex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Investment in people, good processes. Fun atmosphere most of the time
I have worked for their competition as well and the grass is no greener elsewhere either.
I still keep in touch with people in Calgary and they all seem pretty happy there.
Definitely worth applying and considering a career with Acrodex

    Cons

Their location is a little too far from downtown, but a really nice office

    Advice to Management

Invest in more Sales staff, you have a very solid services team
    Also possibly more management staff.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Acrodex as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

-great entry level and networking positions.
    - good focus on small teams.
    - decent pay and benefits (depending on position/ contract)
    - friendly and helpful attitude with lower management.

    Cons

    - pay is dependant on contract , but could be better.
    - lack of clear direction sometimes, poor documentation or organization of duties.
    - things tend to feel hap hazard at times.

    Advice to Management

Acurratly detailing assignments and corresponding with employees is vital, and should be focused on much more. Periodic reviews and q/a sessions with employees would be a great boon to the company as a whole.
