    Pros

    - People
    - Work Environment
    - Recruiting Process

    Cons

    - Too much separation among differing departments
    - No summer Friday's (This would be a huge improvement opportunity)
    - No 401K match

    Advice to Management

Try doing a company gathering rather than a functional gathering (i.e. Marketing only team events, sales only team events, finance only team events, etc.

I have been working at Acronis (More than a year)

    Pros

There are and have been some good people here at Acronis. Unfortunately, they either don't last or aren't allowed to effectively do their jobs. The technology is valuable and the products good. The product lines are confusing to work through but are good. If compensation is your only goal and you can "work" your way into the "inner circle" this company drastically overpays.

    Cons

This is easily the most mismanaged company I have ever come across. The lack of effective leadership and accountability is extraordinary. The phrase "top heavy" describes Acronis. However, they don't even have the right people in those leadership positions. There is no effective channel of communications established. There is no accountability. With effective leadership, this could be an extremely profitable company. What you know doesn't matter at Acronis but rather who you know.

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat. Replace the executive team with professionals that know how to build a profitable company. If ownership could commit to these changes they would have a highly sought after acquisition target. If left in place, there is no sustainable future as a viable entity.

I worked at Acronis (More than 3 years)

    Pros

in a small team, there is a decent amount of collaboration, we used recent software, so no limping along with old stuff.

    Cons

Too many C-Level executives, Acronis will fire the people doing the work, bring in some big exec from Microsoft and they bring in contractors who do nothing but run up big bills. The people who have been there the longest are the first to get pushed out. Massive changeover in strategy and management every 3 months. Employee's who couldn't hack it under the pressure and leave are brought back as high paid contractors who enact revenge against the people who outperformed them the first time around.

    Advice to Management

stop bringing in big money people to run a sinking ship! shore up the business with good workers and a core set of good managers who get their teams to succeed!

    Pros

Great office space, some quality people in individual-contributor roles. Average product with some usefulness to larger companies looking to acquire a company like Acronis.

    Cons

Horrible CEO and leadership team. Awful company culture where people fear for their jobs, leaders are replaced if they disagree with the CEO. Mid-level managers treat their teams like crap because that is what they see senior leaders doing. All around miserable existence.
When the Head of HR and then the Recruiting Manager leave, you know it is bad!

    Advice to Management

Stop berating the employees and threatening to lay people off. Start rewarding people for achievements instead of demoralizing them by insulting them.

    Pros

They have a good product. Hours were good. Location was good. People were nice.

    Cons

Management was all over the board. Strange. Wasn't much guidance. Behavior was odd to say the least.

    Advice to Management

    Be more professional

I have been working at Acronis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some really bright people there.

    Cons

The global staff could be there one day, gone tomorrow. You can email someone and wonder why you haven't heard back from them. Reason? They're fired! Turn over is brutal.

    Advice to Management

Decide what you really need in staff and value the people that work hard for you. Treat people like humans. Way too many "managers."

I have been working at Acronis full-time

    Pros

    *Solid technology
    *Newfound commitment to marketing
    *Decent salary
*Leadership really pushing to build $1B company
*Great opportunity in cloud marketplace for data protection

    Cons

    *Constant changes at leadership level
*Way too many 'cooks in the kitchen', the organization is way too top heavy
*Sales Compensation plans are capped and are not designed to drive the right business behaviors
*Company is trying to do too many things at once
    *No room for growth

    Advice to Management

When you make a plan, stick with it. Also, the sales compensation plans are designed for a larger company that has a market-leading technology and a commodity core product, not for a company who is trying desperately to take market-share away from larger companies and that not many people know about. Act like you care about your employees instead of treating them like a 'means to an end'. Keep investing in marketing, the biggest issue (aside from constant turnover and lack of execution) is that the marketplace is not fully aware of Acronis and all of its solutions.

    Cons

CEO lacks basic business management and leadership skills and should step aside and bring in a real CEO
Understaffed and budgeted in all areas
    No work life balance
    Limited sales and marketing budgets

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees as an asset
Focus on reducing extremely high turn over

I worked at Acronis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company had a good CEO and people but everything was changed. New CEO is Russian, company belongs to him and it influences a lot on the way the company works.

    Cons

Decisions are made by small circle of people close to CEO, sometimes not even professionals. Easy to get title which does not mean such experience. CEO and his management changes their mind every day, they are not able to manage their people properly and close projects successfully. There are always limited resources and new management is not able to manage them efficiently.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring people (management) who worked in big companies and have no idea what to do with limited resources.
