    Pros

Actavis Only Motivation is RAPING Companies and stealing their cash to find their sick agenda

    Cons

See The Above. They Are Heathens Of The Highest Order

    Advice to Management

Management From Actavis should spend their time and energies in doing their job and not acting like criminal who engage in wholesale rape for Icahn

    Pros

    Great Co-workers and decent benefits.

    Cons

Some managers are great. Others are only in a management position so long they can't be fired. If you work for one of these as an engineer you will be micromanaged until you want to pull your teeth out. Under these managers there is no opportunity for intelligent thought or creativity.

    Advice to Management

Watch your middle management. especially those managers who can't keep their engineers for more than two years. I'll be the next to leave.

I worked at Actavis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Drugs are decent and territory smal. maybe it is better to have this job then have nothing else.

    Cons

Terrible managers. Majority are former sports players. Most are not very bright. The are not creative or intelligent. They are very much like cars salesmen. Many could never do anything successfully outside of their job as a DM because they lack business and social skills. Most are insecure and scared of the regional. the majority do not trust others and put down people - bashing them and blaming them. Managers tend to run their teams like a 3rd grade class room. They are more like dictators. Mostly, the DMs look down on the physicians and think the rep is more important then the clinic. There is also a lack of cohesion in how the managers want the reps to work in the field. One manager will right out a bullet point script and expect you to repeat all 7 bullet points on every call. the next anager will want you to make it more conversational. There is a HUGE ARRAGANCE at this company. I likened it to the Russian government hierarchy and how they view and treat the Russian citizens.

    Pros

Decent pay, company car, gas paid for

    Cons

Huge territory (all of New Mexico and El Paso), hired without pharma experience and not given good training to help me succeed. Only worked there for 6 months and was let go with no warning/write-ups/counsel. Had zero work-life balance as they expect you to take offices and doctors out to entertain them multiple nights a week.

    Advice to Management

Give your reps manageable territories. I work in pharma still and split the same territory I was given at WC with one other person. Give good quality training to people who have no previous pharma experience.

    Pros

ummmmm, I am trying to think of one..............fast paced (unsure of in what direction!) environment, decent compensation

    Cons

absolutely no idea what or where this company will go in next, what products they will sell off or buy which leads to VERY uneasy and unfocused sales force. Just waiting for the next shoe to drop from Corp.

    Advice to Management

somebody please put away the CO rhetoric manual and tell the truth to the masses, and stop acting like this is all by chance when things do happen.

    Pros

If you are fortunate enough to get stock options it performs very well. Very large global company so you could get to travel to some good places.

    Cons

The company is growing way to fast and the IT organization is in complete chaos. They are constantly integrating companies and the technology is out dated. They put new projects on hold with every new acquisition, so it only delays the process.
the leadership in IT is not the best and many have jobs they are not qualified to have.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting IT projects on hold due to new acquisitions. You are buying these companies so the global vision you setup should be implemented to them. The current analysis by paralysis will prevent you from ever getting nay standards in place.

I worked at Actavis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are none. Everyone is disposable for the littlest charge. Especially hard working employees who're juggled around the work floor. The only Pro is that you'll see people for who they really are and not what they want you to believe. Be an Observer.

    Cons

Poor management, poor and/or no communication between supervisors and employees. too much Ego and false personalities. Very few good individuals. Money over Quality. Slow advancement.

    Advice to Management

    COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION COMMUNICATION.

I have been working at Actavis (More than a year)

    Pros

Dynamic - if you like a visionless operation run by leadership who just seems to be a little bit shady - you never get an honest entire answer - my opinion / experience

    Cons

Basically is Forest Labs,,,, stereotypical comment in the industry when you hear the name Forest it is closely followed up by low ethics, not recognized as a high character company. Reflective of the leadership - my opinion
