    Pros

Great pay scale, ability to make a lot of money if you are at the top of the rankings. They use a sliding scale, so the bottom half doesn't get paid commission.

    Cons

Poor management, they use a blanket style that doesn't always work in the midwest. you are penalized for having a smaller territory, they look at raw number of scripts more than market share. If you have a large territory and ability to get more scripts you will do better even if the market share isn't as high.

    Advice to Management

Get local managers that understand the docs in the area. All managers are from NY, NJ area for midwest, CA for west coast.

    Pros

If you are good, you will make a ton of money and move up in the company quickly.
Good benefits including free car, free gas, unlimited expenses to grow your market share(basically) and nice insurance package.

    Cons

If you are bad, you will be fired very quickly. More often than not, management is a bit quick on the trigger as far as firing employees goes. (yes, I am still an employee)

I worked at Actavis full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Acatavis is very forward thinking and can operate efficiently to achieve the big (Global) picture. Offer great benefits.

    Cons

LOW morale within employees, New Corp HR far less knowledgeable,Upper management is clueless and is greatly disconnected with its front line workers especially those who were employed during the REAL CEO era when ALL employees mattered

    Advice to Management

Management has a HUGE disconnect with the employees. need to get in touch with the 'lower level' employees and GIVE them a little more reward/recognition instead of hoarding and spreading such to upper management. Suggest all upper management watch a season or 2 or the TV show UnderCover Boss and get a clue Paul Bisaro !!

I have been working at Actavis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities abound due to recent acquisition.

    Cons

Lots of uncertainty with overlap of employees, paygrades, job functions and future of specific sites.

    Advice to Management

clearly define a path forward not just sales and numbers, but where the employees stand.

I have been working at Actavis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

More generous bonus structure than other pharmaceutical companies, employees were offered stock options. The better the rep, the more stocks you received.

    Cons

They were acquired by Activas Inc. Upper management was always changing as well. Shortly after I was hired it seemed like the company was becoming more and more unstable.

I worked at Actavis full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Work/life balance was good for me, but depends on who you report to.

    Cons

Numerous acquisitions have made layoffs routine.
Poor mid level management makes day-to-day work experience frustrating.
Poor chance for advancement. Few internal promotions.

    Advice to Management

Try to focus more on employees, not just value for shareholders.
