I have been working at Active International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The heritage, the honest and ethical ethos and the fact that the Founders are in the office every day.

    Cons

Wide upper management structure, some resist needed change and most support it.

    Advice to Management

Keep treating your valuable people well and they won’t let you down!

I have been working at Active International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Potential for growth IF** you are in the right place at the right time. Interesting business model

    Cons

Promotions are very dependent on being in the right place at the right time. Seen high quality employees never receive a promotion in years, and i've seen people jump up to high positions due to timing or layoffs at the opportune times

    Advice to Management

Find money in your budget for promotions or extra help. Lack of workforce can lead to unhappy work conditions

I have been working at Active International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

not in the city, high volume, learn a lot

    Cons

work load is crazy, not as modern, not located near clients or reps

    Advice to Management

Modernize the company a little bit. This industry is primarily in NYC so we need to keep up with them

    Pros

There are many smart people who do interesting work.

I have been working at Active International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits and PTO, nice suburban location, overall mood of employees is pleasant and compatible, the company strives to stay relevant in this rapidly changing industry/world.

    Cons

Frequent communication breakdowns on matters that involve/concern various departments, poor/nonexistent new hire training system, limited opportunities to advance/increase salary, entry level employees aren’t given enough time to learn the seemingly infinite nuances of the industry before they’re put on PIP for a month (a warning).

    Advice to Management

You don’t have to pay everyone a lot more money, but if people saw more people getting promoted that would increase morale and motivation to stay and work harder. Also, split media assistant into media assistant 1 and media assistant 2, pay the second level a tad more and give them more responsibilities, including helping to train new media assistant 1’s.

  10. "SVP"

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Active International full-time

    Pros

Excellent, trendsetter in its industry. One of the oldest companies of its kind. Company has many offices around the world.

    Cons

Can be somewhat difficult to navigate the layers of bureaucracy. A complicated sales proposition makes successes take a considerable amount of time.

    Advice to Management

Company has been a great success by always returning to its core values. It should continue to stress the things that got it to the top of the marketplace.
