I worked at Adastra as a contractor

    Pros

chance to work hard for different hospitals

    Cons

under threats of no pay, Ad Astra cheated, stole and cut your pays in half. CONTROL is the biggest issue. Fraud and dishonesty are rampant. Watch every paycheck and find out. Defraud MD law, defraud interpreters under the guise of "independent contractors." Beware of intimidation and retaliation pattern at Ad Astra. Horrible! after 3 years working for them, they said " you don't work for Ad Astra."

    Advice to Management

Pay taxes or close your business.

  2. "Terrible Company"

    Pros

None. The pay is miserable. They do not respect their interpreters.

    Cons

Many. Don't work there. They are very unprofessional.Pays their interpreters far less than any other agency. Does not respect their interpreters or their hard work. Contract interpreters regularly receive emails threatening non-payment for real or imagined infractions. Unprofessional management. Regularly late payments to interpreters. Big sloppy, dishonest mess of a company. Don't go there to work and don't go there looking for an interpreter!

    Advice to Management

Learn to be professional, as a start.
