I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and medical accommodations at some placements

    Cons

It is like being trapped in high school. Toxic rants requiring clairvoyance to understand from Adecco staff and at firms I was placed at, gas lighting, slander, verbal abuse, false accusations, and cut throat atmosphere were not in the job descriptions. I was there to work, not fight off the mentally ill. Adecco will hire anyone who is bipedal with opposable thumbs.

    Advice to Management

If you have an issue to address with an employee, do it face to face.
Do not indulge previous employers and grifters seeking to make trouble for someone.
GROW UP AND ACT LIKE ADULTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S WORK, NOT A SEEDY BAR.

I worked at Adecco as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a company, it exists, and they let you know that you are disposable almost immediately.

    Cons

Was hired in to replace some bodies they had to let go.
    High turnover.
No actual training, was just rushed to get on the phones as fast as possible, no contact with leads or supervisors (Never at their desks, only respond via e-mail), struggled for weeks.
Pay scale not up to par with similar entry level positions.
Benefits were a joke, if you are younger and healthier, just sign up for Obamacare, or pay the fee.
Inconsistent schedule that you didn't know until the end of your shift what your schedule would be like the next day. Some days you'll be taking lunch within an hour of arriving, other days you'll be taking your lunch towards the back end of your shift.
Frantic work environment, with a quota-based call setup, emphasizing quantity over quality, with repeat calls over simple issue fixes due to the lack of a structured training setup.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are people, treating them like numbers, and "disposable", are not things you want to hear on your first day.

"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." - Aristotle

The lack of a structured training schedule is probably what killed this job for me the most. I think most people want to know what their responsibilities are, learn to use the tools you throw in their faces, and want to ask questions and seek out guidance to be better at what they do for a living. If you want to lower your turnover, I'd probably start here.
Actually take a week to train your employees, set their credentials proper, and ensure they are capable of doing the job. If they aren't, start looking at your hiring managers and training them. A five minute interview process is not enough time to hold a conversation of any meaning, let alone interview someone for a job.

I have been working at Adecco as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can LIE and say you do not have any criminal background.
They do not do background checks foreal, they TRICK you into believing they do but only go off of the info you provide to determine if your eligible for hire.

    Cons

Being HONEST about having a criminal background will make you ineligible for hire. They trick you into providing honest details but dont verify if accurate and can be a rapest or murderer and get hired as long as you say you dont have any criminal background.

    Advice to Management

You should consider honesty instead of denying if you dont really do background checks.

I worked at Adecco (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good with promise of temp to hire.

    Cons

Promise of temp to hire after 3 month contract, never appeared. When I questioned them, they ignored it and never looked for other positions for me, would not pressure employer and since I needed to work, they just would keep extending contract. Suffice it to say no benefits at all. Had to find my own permanent employment.

    Advice to Management

Don't string employees along. be truthful! Listen to the people you employee and their needs not just the employers.
