I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have issue retaining staff so they are always hiring. And they hire anyone. No one gets rejected at Adecco. you can resign and if no one else hires you, can always come back Adecco still always take you

    Cons

Typical staffing firm. Sends 10-15 CV for one job. No screening needed
Consultants are all too juniors. No idea on what's happening on the outside world
Very KPI driven but no system in place so you can cheat your number. Afterall, the only way to give KPI report is thru Excel file
Too much politics - Do not call my client - This is my client type of scenario
Offer the lowest percentage rate to get client release the role to you. 8%, 10% fee, still can .
No one knows Recruitment in this firm

I have been working at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

yearly winners trip scheme, commission, lots of incentives and good training & good company culture.

    Cons

it is soul destroying being spoken to badly by clients when you are trying to help them, candidates always let you down and hound you, having to compete with so many different agencies becomes exhausting, getting candidates in just to hit KPIs and then not being able to find them a job, I paid my own expenses for months and didn't get them paid back so buying muffins and chocolates with my own money for clients and then having them talk to you badly and not appreciating it ended up making me resent it.

    no lunch breaks,
late nights and weekends, absolutely no work life balance - having to take calls and organize shifts in the evening if you do temps.

    Advice to Management

pay more attention to practices that are individual to branches and not a part of the company culture. don't expect your employees to have no life outside of work, pay a better basic rate and do more to make sure office angels and Adecco work together with the brands as we were always competing and having our business taken by OA even though we were technically part of the same company.

    Pros

    - Multinational Recruitment & HR company
    - Great internal development opportunities if you work hard & talk to the right people
    - Don't hold you back if you have the ability to grow
    - Good bonus structure for motivated, hard workers

    Cons

    - Starting salaries for grads not wonderful
    - Long working hours
    - As with all recruitment companies, there are unsavoury "lifers" that will try to make your job difficult

    Advice to Management

More account manager/business development job splits - less 360

I have been working at Adecco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good process and structure. The working atmosphere is great and people are very friendly, with not too much pressure as it is more based on results than KPIs driven.

    Cons

None to my experience. Just the commission structure that is not too competitive compare to other companies, but it is fine if you consider the annual bonus.
