I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Here is a great way to meet new people and see how many companies work. A great networking job. No matter how bad (or good) it gets, the job is temporary.

    Cons

Sometimes I felt that I was on my own. The people in companies you are assigned to take advantage of a temp. Expect to work hard be paid one of the least salaries in a company you are assigned. The permanent employees give you their work above and beyond the job you signed up for while they make personal phone calls and chat with each other. If you discuss it with your Adecco liaison, you will be asked if you want to leave the assignment. Once you bring up a concern, you will be overlooked for other assignments.

    Advice to Management

Actually give your employees a way to receive paperwork they signed such as disclosure statements and health insurance information. I was told the paperwork was proprietary and I wouldn't be able to make a copy, but I could read it in the office any time I wished.

I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to form a network across the country, they try to help as much as they can.

    Cons

You are working with people all over the country, I had a hard time keeping up with the high volume. They needed more than one person of some accounts.

I worked at Adecco part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get to drive various model cars. You can practice driving stick and not worry because its not your car. Not much else to write here.

    Cons

Its very rush rush. There is catered food out, but you're not allowed to have any. Its only for the auction Buyers

    Advice to Management

Stop yelling at worker to "move it!"

    Pros

Amazing team environment. Everyone is willing to help you without hesitation. Would recommend this job to anyone!

    Cons

Compensation is a little low for the requirements. Maintenance needs to be done in the office.

    Advice to Management

Need a more efficient training program for your employees!

I have been working at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is decent, still not enough to live on but better than most places. Staff is friendly and were able to set me up with a job right away on 2 separate occasions.

    Cons

No sick days and low pay. Staff can be dismissive at times.

    Advice to Management

People need more sick days. Would reccomend more Paid time off so people dont come into work sick and spread the illness to everyone else.

I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They seemed to have plenty of jobs for people. If you are willing to work, they seemed liked they would keep it coming.

    Cons

I felt like a number, which, I expect at a temporary agency. No surprise there. The staff often did not seem to know what was happening around them. While working for them, they changed their software/hardware for workers to clock in/out. It ended up causing a lot of problems because those in charge of the system were completely unaware of how to use/fix anything. I had four consecutive checks that were wrong in some way. It really seemed like a matter of someone not taking care of a problem when it arose, but instead just passing it along without addressing it.

    Advice to Management

I don't need to feel like a king at a temp agency, but I would prefer not to feel like a mushroom either.

I worked at Adecco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good company. Most of the workers are nice in technology team.

    Cons

It is a huge company I'm only talking about the technology team in melville NY.
managers are bullying workers mostly those workers that have work visa from other countries. They make them work more hours. If they don't work managers will fire them. Workers are scared to lose their job and talk about the bad managers. managers are hiring their own relatives. They fire or lay off whoever they don't like.

    Advice to Management

They should not bully workers. What comes around goes around.

I have been working at Adecco as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Provides technical professionals to Dow Corning

    Cons

Rates of pay established and controlled by Dow Corning management...ie...if you could walk on water and continue to perform at the highest level.....you may get a 3% annual increase

    Advice to Management

Go to bat for your top performers and get them legitimate pay increases

I have been working at Adecco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Easy but past pace
Overtime pay after 8 hours each day - time and a half
    Attendance bonuses
    401k
    Uniforms

    Cons

Jump through hoops to get hired full time.
Make almost $5 less than Honda's full time employees
    Insurance not that great

    Advice to Management

Management should look at temps work performance on the floor, attendance and years of experience when hiring for full-time. It's frustrating and discouraging having to wait 4+ years to get hired, especially when you work hard everyday with great quality.

    Pros

Access to high tech companies as Google

    Cons

Few benefits, 2 years contract, low salary

    Advice to Management

You should offer a more competitive salary for contractors, especially those working in a technical job. You should offer opportunities beyond the 2 year contract.
