I have been working at Adecco USA full-time

    Pros

Young and friendly staff. Nice and visible senior leadership. Summer Fridays. Interesting jobs to work on with great clients.

    Cons

Low pay. Different managers have very different expectations. Some cattiness and favoritism. Lots of staff turnover because of this.

I have been working at Adecco USA as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quick to hire, paid weekly, health plan negotiates with providers to keep costs down. Some screening procedures carry no deductible.

    Cons

Low pay, may have no paid holidays, can be laid off with no notice on contract jobs. If laid off, Cobra coverage for the medical plan can be quadruple what you are paying as an employee. Very high deductible for medical plan (6,000 per year);.

Great Pay, Great work/ life balance, Great working environment and Great co workers.

    Cons

I really enjoy my job. I don't wake up unhappy and I don't go home upset. Management really listens to your needs and take quick action to meet them

    Advice to Management

Management is great in the fact that they are always looking for ways to help make employees jobs easier.

  8. "Uncertainty - Meville Location (formerly Corporate HQ)"

Former Employee - IT Employee in Melville, NY

    Pros

I was a former employee with the IT department over 10 years. It was a good company when I first started, worked with some nice people along the way.

    Cons

But then later on Adecco outsourced different areas of IT to India and I was let go. Along with many others. On top of that they relocated the Corporate Headquarters to Jacksonville, Florida. So then people in the business areas were also being laid off. Then the building was sold and Adecco leased back a smaller space from the new owner. But they continue to hire new people unaware of what transpired. So everyone waits to hear what is being announced at the quarterly town hall meetings if any departments will be relocated or the Melville office will close permanently. So if you are considering a position in the Melville location beware.

I worked at Adecco USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Largest staffing agency in the world. Brand name recognition for potential clients.

    Cons

28 different Adecco companies do not work together, do not maintain similar rate cards/sales organization, nor develop proper sales delivery to match client needs. The Technical division has progressively lost market share, and have no strategy to win it back over effective sales organizations.

    Advice to Management

Determine how to support sales to client expectations: do not hire entry-level to lower costs to shareholders: perform a useful service to client staffing needs.

I worked at Adecco USA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Management frequently empowered employees of all levels to have an impact on the company. They were good at recognizing and cultivating talent.

    Cons

Salary was frequently below an individuals contribution level. Which would lead to them moving on not because they wanted to but because they would feel financially undervalued.

    Advice to Management

When you recognize a key contributor adjust their salary to match there contribution potential or you will risk losing them and the experience they gained at Adecco.
