I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I feel very thankful to have my job at Aden & Anais! I have never worked in an organization in which the CEO is so committed not only to the organization, but each and every employee. This company is her baby and she continues to raise it each and every day into an even more amazing organization, filled with endless opportunities for each employee! I also have the pleasure of working with the most dedicated, diligent,...

I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time for more than a year

    Pros

THERE ARE NO PROS TO WORKING HERE!

    Cons

This company is owned by a private equity firm Swander Pace, all they care about is getting the company ready to sell, they do not care about the employees at all. They have cut half of the jobs at Aden and expect the us to pick up the slack without any raises. Plus Aden is in financial difficulties and has had problems paying vendors and at times their employees. Next they are closing a sister company in MN and...

I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    There aren’t any to name

    Cons

Everything at this place is a con

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to your employees. It’s only a matter of months before this brand is completely dissolved. But, you still keep lying to the few employees that you have left. If you can’t afford to pay your rent and your vendors, how do you plan to keep this place afloat?

I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I can't think of any unless you live in Williamsburg.

    Cons

Company moved from a beautiful loft in Dumbo to a temporary Wework space. Laid off employees before and after the holidays but still keeping the lie "A&A is doing better than ever". Losing accounts by the minute, no innovation, and no real employee space. If you want to work for a company with no HR person, sometimes they "forget" to process payroll, this is the company for you

    Advice to Management

Don't pass off your work load to people beneath you while you sit on facebook all day.

I worked at Aden And Anais full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Sadly, there are none worth mentioning.

    Cons

    1. No resources. You'll be doing the job of 5 roles at once, without the help of an external service provider, or even software to make you more efficient at multitasking. 2. No upward movement. Even though you'll have added responsibility, they won't pay you more no matter how well you perform (nor will they give you a better title). 3. High stress. Due to most of the company doing the jobs of 3-5 people, most people...

    Advice to Management

Spend money to make money. You can't survive by firing 60% of the company and assume the remainder can "pick up the slack," not without giving them budget and help to physically do the work needed. This is a global CPG business, and the fumes of "brand recognition" can't save it. Reward hard-working people with market-value pay and enough resources to actually do the job, rather than drowning in unrealistic expectations...

I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time

    Pros

Zero pros left after they fired the founder. Culture has been declining for years but now it is unbearable, toxic.

    Cons

Management is clueless and so in over their heads. Beyond incompetent, secretive and obviously inept. Finance is the worst. They make promise and after promise, and never manage to accomplish anything. Seriously wonder how this place is still in business.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like garbage. Tell us the truth of what is going on. We deserve that. To the private equity that owns this business. Pay attention. How many people have to leave or be fired before you step in and realize your management team are idiots! Re-engage the founder and at least try to restore some of what this business once was.

I have been working at Aden And Anais full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are quite literally (and very sadly) no pros left to working at was once an amazing company, complete with a fantastic culture, killer products, a great group of hardworking people, and an inspirational founder and leader. All of these things no longer define aden + anais, because they are no longer present in this company. The only thing that remains is a (very small and rapidly dwindling) core group of...

    Cons

Where to begin? Management. The person in charge quite frankly...shouldn't be. His right hand people...also shouldn't be. The company is going downhill on swift wings. We are moving to a co-working space in a neighborhood that will not have convenient train service for the next two years. Not at all ideal for those of us still stuck here. We're already unmotivated, disenchanted, and have very little faith...

    Advice to Management

Do better. A lot better. Tell the truth. Don't tell us we're in good shape; we know we're not. We helped build this company to where it was. We're not dumb. We know what's happening. Show us the respect and decency to be honest with us. Stop the lies. Stop the BS. Just, stop. Recognize you're not capable of fixing this crumbling mess, own up to it, and make the necessary, dire changes that need to be implemented ASAP...
