    Cons

large company which is very political and if you don't partner with the "right" people, your advancement could be stymied.

I have been working at Adobe full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Tons of autonomy to show individual strengths and creativity. Flexible work schedule and ability to take time off when you need it. Expectations are high but high caliber of surrounding team members make you want to produce for the Company - a very healthy sense of urgency. Lots of management help, feedback and guidance to help you succeed not criticize.

    Cons

There's lots to do, competing priorities, keeping focused on top priorities can be a struggle at times.

    Advice to Management

Help reduce the noise your teams are being tasked with so they can focus on top priorities. There is a ton of training available at Adobe but it appears there are some missing key enablement/training components that if implemented would empower teams to complete their work more independently and not have to ask so many questions of other teams slowing down production, etc. Overall the culture of helping each other is great, just need more focused training in key solution and integration areas, delivered faster and that goes deeper. Suggest mandatory role-based hands-on labs with required on-demand test-outs across the board for all roles. Again there is a lot currently happening here, seems to be improving, don't stop need a bigger push to get everyone up to speed.

I have been working at Adobe full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people at Adobe are an incredibly smart and creative bunch. Overall benefits package is excellent, including sabbaticals every five years. Good ongoing learning and development opportunities. It's common to move around to different groups so there's opportunities to try new things.

    Cons

There's a lot of opportunities to make lateral moves, but it's difficult to get beyond first line manager status. Some execs can be very hands on with projects at a micro level (e.g. feature and UI decisions). Re-orgs and small layoffs happen frequently.

    Advice to Management

I wish management was less hands on at times, and instead more inspiring with both their vision and strategic direction. I do think the company has made very smart moves and acquisitions in particular (Fotolia especially).
