I have been working at Advance America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management works well with employees requests; vacation days, sick days, and floating days. Set hours, sundays off and one day during the week. Quarterly bonuses.

    Cons

Rates aren't competitive for everything associates do. Associates go through one or more month of computer training in store that is far from home store.

I have been working at Advance America full-time

    Pros

Good hours, good training, promotions from within, supervisors try to make things fun to keep everyone interested. Great coworker relationships.

    Cons

Too many changes coming down all at once. Inconsistency in leadership, too many responsibilities for pay

    Advice to Management

Streamline information before sending out, understand what really goes on in centers each day: the workload, trying to pass audits, numerous goals

I worked at Advance America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

casual dress code and a brainless job.

    Cons

team supervisors in same dept. are rarely on the same page. All call center managers do not have leadership skills. ONLY favoritism gets special treatment and promotions. If you're a attractive woman, the call center manager will have you promoted fast regardless of your work ethic or skill set. Medical Benefits, PTO, Sick Time are the worst compared to ALL other financial companies.

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing and stop acting like bi-polar children with temperaments. Love how they try to ACT professional when HR is visiting from SC.

I have been working at Advance America full-time

    Pros

Meet a lot of great people!

    Cons

No help, left alone on busy days, not paid nearly enough for what you do, management is lazy, takes advantage of good worker, treated like a henchmen, talked to poorly, if something happens management blames you, when doing taxes the company you go through never really looks at them so your on your own to figure it out, unobtainable tax goals, benefits are horrible. And much more...

    Advice to Management

Look at what your managers don't do! And when an associate calls you with a problem call and speak to that associate not the manager to see if everything is ok.

    Pros

Is a good place to learn and gain experience with customer service, goals and working as a team and individually.

    Cons

Depending management schedule may not be as flexible for students or people that have a second job. Favoritism can be seen with other employees. Some expectations can be unrealistic with the number of employees in a center. (Short staff)

    Advice to Management

DDO's should be trained in how to speak to employees and lower favoritism among their division.
