    Pros

    Pay, sourcing options, inventory selection, easy to use interface, long term company, great culture and values that are not properly followed through

    Cons

    Post Turtle Management and staffing

    When you're driving down a country road and you see a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle. You know he didn't get up there by himself. He doesn't belong there.

    Advice to Management

    Hire people who know how to do third jobs. As a CPP I should not be training my manager and assistant manager. On how to sell parts. The lack of parts knowledge across the stores I was part of was minimal. My leaving the store has caused a drop in customers drastically.

    Decent pay if you fight for it.

    Cons

    Its auto retail, customers are not always right. 90% of people that come in are not happy to be shopping for parts.

    Help managers more. Give the more tools to succeed.

    I have been working at Advance Auto Parts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits are decent, pay is ok, your team is fun to work with.

    Cons

    Everything else, no hours to properly run store, how do you help customers in the store, answer phones, and install wiper blades, batteries, do engine checks with only 2 employees? Answer, you don't, people walk out because of this all the time, our systems also are horrible, always crashing, always issues.

    Advice to Management

    Get a grip, I know payroll is important, but 2 people can't do it all per shift, you will be the next Kmart Sears with your lack of investment into people, technology, and customer service.

    I have been working at Advance Auto Parts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Works with schedule and flexible good benefits, and management can be fun to be around

    Cons

    Management doesn't care about the employees, high turnover, discount is same as an every day customer gets and I was brought on as " part time" and it turned in to a 40 hour week, pay could be better as well

    Applicate your employees, buy them breakfast, make them want to work by giving raises and make the environment fun

    I worked at Advance Auto Parts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    I loved working there but had to leave for more money

    Cons

    Need to pay their parts pros more cause they are loosing people that are good at what they do to company's like auto zone and others

    I have been working at Advance Auto Parts (More than a year)

    Pros

    I would recommend it if you're in the eastern, western or southern division. Everyone else is dying and stores ARE closing.

    Cons

    Not accommodating of disabilities. They will frame you and fire you if they want you out, we've seen it.

    Pros

    Learn many things about cars as a beginner.
    Rewards for top performers in sales.
    Great training system for all employees.
    I enjoy helping our customers to problem solve and get them the parts that they need to get back on the road! I love hearing about their projects!

    Cons

    Odd schedule, low pay, outdated computer systems

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay and set more stable employee hours/ schedule
