    Pros

    Really enjoyed the work environment here at Advance Auto Parts. They really go all the way to make you feel a part of a team, even being part time.

    Cons

    Poor time management by the managers of the stores, a lot of people get stuck with taking lunches much later than they should or even working though their lunches.

    Advice to Management

    Please be a little more flexible with peoples lunch timing. I dont see it as fair to have to be at the store at 7am but dont get lunch until 1:30pm

    Pros

    For the work you do the pay is decent. Hours are decent. Overtime if you want it. Supervisors are hit or miss.

    Cons

    If you get a bad supervisor it is the worst.

    Keep a close eye on your management, don't just hire them.

    Pros

    Get laid off and forget that they have your W2 information and tell them to pay the federal government your taxes and be happy you are not suing them to get your W2 to pay your taxes.

    Cons

    Poor Pay,poor Manager,poor attitudes,poor working conditions,accidents they are about to have.

    Advice to Management

    W2 information simplicity to get so you can file your taxes on time and not pay any late fees unless they are going to pay the Federal Government those taxes.

    Pros

    Co-workers, Customers, not that difficult of work, able to learn store management, potential for promotion, able to work different shifts, able to get days off to work around appointments

    Cons

    Right now I have a very long commute because I was hired for a store that didn't get remodeled on time so I was given an ultimatum. Commute or go home. Pay is very low for what knowledge you need.

    Advice to Management

    Promote based on knowledge, skills & abilities not who kisses up to you. There is way too much favoritism. Listen to your employees. Just because we are not in Seattle we get paid a lot less for doing the same job we should get paid the same. The state's minimum wage increased $1.53 and we got nothing. Shouldn't your parts professionals be fairly compensated as well? I am ASE certified and I get nothing for it. Why should I improve myself when I get nothing for it. I came to this company looking for fairness & integrity that lacks in other companies yet my knowledge skills and past experience seems to mean nothing.

    Discount was good. Ability to advance was semi quick. Bonuses weren't bad

    Pay was low for the amount of work, bad management, and benefits weren't good

    Stop sweeping the floor so much and smoking illegal drugs and actually start working.
