    Pros

    1. A chance to grow and stretch the upper limits of your potential
    2. Technology on the leading edge in electrical utility industry
    3. Leadership and owners are demanding, but fair, in expectations
    4. Office environment is friendly, with a wide range of cultures, ages, and background, even though company has only 110 employees

    Cons

    1. Small size of company can limit future potential.

    Advice to Management

    Be consistent and fair. Rip out old ideas and in with new, yet still maintain high expectations, especially with millenials.

    Pros

    ACS has great flexibility in work schedules, a pretty casual atmosphere, some really smart and fun people. The work they do is very exciting and feels impactful.

    Cons

    Poor management. Sales people will sell dreams and not products. Not nearly enough staff to handle workloads, and the management is laying off people instead of hiring. Engineers are on call 24/7.

    Advice to Management

    Please hire more (competent) people. The good employees you have are severely overworked.

    Pros

    Depending on your position, you will love coming to work and the people you work with. There are lots of travel opportunities and the opportunity to learn new technology and software. The projects are a challenge that leave you feeling rewarded when you deliver them successfully.

    Cons

    There is a lack of leadership from the top. Instead of developing a proactive plan for sales and projects and delivery, the company is more reactive which leads to loss of revenue and profits. Unfortunately Advance Control Systems is also not competitive in salary and doesn't realize the advantage of retention. As a result there is a bit of a revolving door which hurts morale and profits.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your employees. Determine which employees make the company successful and compensate, recognize or reward them to make them want to stay and help the company prosper. Lose some of the dead weight.

    Pros

    Highly flexible, Decent Work environment. A lot of change going on right now. The area is great and the company works well with you as far as school is concerned. If you can show it will help the company they are all about it. There is a lot of freedom to explore your own projects and ideas.

    Cons

    Incompetent people who are still on staff because of entrenched management. No delegation of authority. Poor Wages when compared to similar positions. They do not use the resources they have very well. And there seems to be a lack of urgency for a company that is loosing money. Important company decisions and general information about the direction of the industry and company are not relayed to the workers. Heavy emphasis put on "showing up" rather than producing good work.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to the people who are making the company money. Morale is pretty low around and it directly relates to pay.
