I worked at Advantage Data as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good experience working with databases fixed income products (syndicated loans and high yield bonds)

    Cons

Small company, not much room to grow as an analyst. The work is limited and repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, could make the environment a tad bit more professional but no complaints.

    Pros

Nice employees. Great views of the Boston Harbor from the office. Fully stocked kitchen and ping pong table.

    Cons

All decisions are made/approved by one person. Slow moving on updates and changes. The computers are from the mid 2000's. Limited resources so when new products are developed or updates are made other areas of the product suffer.

    Advice to Management

Delegate responsibilities, you have smart and capable employees who have great ideas that can help move the company forward. Listen to them.

Recently, virtually all decisions have been centralized, which can make responses too slow.
