    I worked at Advantage Rent A Car for less than a year

    Pros

    Training, teamwork, guidance from supervisors.

    Cons

    Some sale agents are tricky when selling OPTIONAL products, customer's lack of attention to READ their rental agreements, outdated GPS gadgets, radios, and scanners.

    Advice to Management

    Hire honest sales agents. Just look at the customer's complains. PLUS--invest money in GPS, radios, and scanners if you want to provide efficient experience for your clients. That goes for the city manager!

    I worked at Advantage Rent A Car full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    McDonald's was right next door for a quick lunch

    Cons

    As soon as I started making commissions at the highest payout level, they upped the requirements to maintain that level of pay. This was done with no advance notice and often. Turnover was a real problem and the customers expect to be treated like crap so they are mostly rude and defensive. You need to leave your ethics at home with this job if you expect to make any money as you need to lie to the customers to get...

    Advice to Management

    Better communication with employees, treat them with more respect and have some flexibility when they need time off for issues such as daycare or school schedules.
