I worked at Advantage Sign Supply full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible schedule, great co-workers.

    Cons

I felt like a lack of effective communication from upper management on overall goals and direction. This seemed to bring on hidden agendas and rumors among the office between management and the rest of the team members.

I worked at Advantage Sign Supply full-time

    Pros

Some of the people are great and the industry is interesting.

    Cons

Bad communication from the top down and everywhere in between, a lot of fake smiles and foul play. Those who are both demanding and lazy seem to rise to the top, while those who work hard are used until they find their breaking point.

    Advice to Management

Step out of your own world and take a long look at the backbone of your company, the employees and the customers.

I worked at Advantage Sign Supply full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are no Pros to working for Advantage anymore. It used to be a place that rewarded hard work and dedication. Now unless you are a favorite of the CEO you are going nowhere.

    Cons

    Long hours.
    Terrible incentives and raises.
Everyone is so worried about what Managment will do so they lie to save their jobs.
No accurate reporting on anything from your job performance to the Companies current state of affairs.
A Corporate philosophy of working employees to the breaking point and then getting rid of them when they have burnt out.

    Advice to Management

Restructure from the top down and stop throwing away exceptional employees and replacing them with the cheapest people you can find. Build up your employees instead of treating them like they should be happy enough you let them into your building.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Advantage Sign Supply full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Location is in a nice area, but the company will soon be moving. Not much else worth sticking around for.

    Cons

Lack of resources and people has many veteran people leaving and seldom replaced.

No room for advancement, minimal payroll increases, bad commutation between upper management and employees.

    Advice to Management

Keep talented people happy or soon there will be none left!
Many feel detached from the company as decisions are made without asking opinions of anyone.

    Pros

    Nice office
    Clean
    There isn't much else left

    Cons

    Upper management
    No room for advancement
    No commitment to its employees
President is clueless to employee moral
    Lots of turnover

    Advice to Management

Get a new President and right this ship. When Steve took over is when good employees started leaving.

    Pros

There are still some great people here that care about the company.

    Cons

Upper management overlooks bad attitudes, lack of training and supervision, and has allowed the company to get away from the core values it was founded on, while paying lip service to new values. High focus on penny pinching over looking at the big picture. Employee morale isn't a priority.
