Positive working environment flexible hours great selling Incentive's

    Cons

I have been working at Advantage Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fairly laid-back in terms of day-to-day workload, regular 8-5
Managers will work with you to help put you where you're happiest
Schedule is somewhat flexible with option to work remote when possible
Many of the people in the office are great to work with

    Cons

Pay & benefits are on the lower end of the scale
Opportunity for growth is limited, many associates have been here multiple years and still entry-level position
Those who have seen promotions take minimal pay bumps
Lots of talk from higher-ups with little actual results
The parent company is ALL about the bottom-line. They will do and say anything to not spend money on their people.
It's a big corporate giant that sells groceries. If you want fulfillment, don't work here.

    Advice to Management

Don't preach a people-focused environment and then stop there. Better to say nothing and do nothing than to say something and do nothing... Learn from other companies on how to attract and retain the right people and you won;t have so much turnover.

    Pros

Working independently, Compensated commuting expenses (public transportation/gas),

    Cons

Paid hourly, but only paid DURING the time spent in each location (which is most cases is LESS than one hour). This means you may have to visit 3 locations just to be compensated for an hour or more of work.

    Advice to Management

Stop paying by the hour. Pay by daily/weekly routes completed

    Pros

Benefits and holidays off was nice

    Cons

Updating my job issues: my bonus I earned for the 4th quarter was given to the new manager. Took the company an added 6 months to get figures together. Will my bonus go to him too even if he is failing miserably

    Advice to Management

Thanks for never acknowledging my sucess

I have been working at Advantage Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

As far as customer service goes, most of the customers are friendly. You're giving out samples and they're generally pretty happy and polite. There is also a lot of autonomy, so if you're responsible and can keep on task, no one is breathing down your neck. Good for a summer job or extra income.

    Cons

Not enough compensation for travel. If you're going to have people travel over 50 miles one way to a site location, it would behoove you to pay them more than 10 dollars an hour. I have also found that there have been literal last minute adjustments to my schedule without my being notified and a sense of shock when I can't make it. Also, they're always slow to update or send much needed equipment and carts, critical for making events run smoothly.

    Advice to Management

Across the board, pay event specialists better. Especially when they have to use their personal vehicles for locations far away. Train new hires better and make sure they have their ServSafe before they start working on the floor. And maybe have new hires shadow an existing employee so they get a feel for the job and understand what they're supposed to do, to some degree.

I worked at Advantage Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Liked my job and the people.

    Cons

Pile on the work. Unfair hourly wages hard to get good raises even if you are top employee. With good reviews. New hires come in making more an hour.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget the ones that got you where you are. Blame upper management and BDMs, buyers, office junkies in Arkansas for sinking the ship.
